"I like real movement in video games"

"It feels limiting in a 'fun video game' way"

Same.

VR might be worth it once they solve motion sickness on free walking.

Analog stick, Treadmill, whatever, I just want to move around a large space (without having an extra empty room).

Skyrim, Minecraft, etc. I want to be in a world, not a room.

Along with the games themselves feeling less like tech demos/arcade titles/downloadable indies.

But RIGS has managed left stick movement - just go in a robot.

RIGS robot in destiny shooter....what VR needs.

OMFG THIS IS ON STEAM!?!?!?!?

THIS IS GONNA BLOW THEIR FUCKING MINDS

Edit: crap... it doesn't seem intuitive to new users... :(

One second ago I wanted to order one, now I am just not sure. Roomscale is important it seems but not many games will have it.

Development on roomscale games is pretty early but considering if you want to make anything on Vive you have to do it, I'm sure there will be a decent amount of stuff.

Isn't RIGS a controller based game? They're talking about player movement while retaining the fidelity of the Vive motion controllers.

omg this is the coolest VR demo ever... when you watch the creator play it...

I'm glad they are not giving up on it...

Teleportation is the devs use to get around exploring environment in VR.

Some of those games look awful lol...like he said a few times, bye so and so game, and you probably will never play it again...

I think I would be fine without the controllers for most of the games. Like Minecraft to actually be in Minecraft but not have to bother with the motion stuff which can get tiresome I guess?

I get the feeling that you might rejoin us on the hype train when specific preconditions in manufacturing are met.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Maybe if I see something worthwhile playing and not just MOVE crap, yes. Look, I understand the difference between MOVE and this and I understand, and can fully imagine, that you actually feel you're within the world, and I fully understand how your brain can be fooled into feeling real world experiences within VR. What I'm saying is these worlds look terrible and no more than simple tech demos that should be given away for free. When I see something more substantial then I'll perhaps be on board with the whole 'VR is the future' thing again but with these games leading the charge ... It's DEAD on arrival. And when I say dead I mean 'This is cool!' ... 'Yeah, it was never that good anyway.'

Dreadful and potentially the Wii/Kinect/MOVE all over again. Having No Man's Sky at launch of the PSVR might just right the ship a little but as of now this is a kiddy/granny machine all over again. Harsh, I know, but I'm genuinely angered by these pitiful offerings here that only exist in this form because they know people will 'need something to play'.

As a veteran, watching him try to use that M16 is just painful.

Yeah, your just wrong, but fortunately you being on board doesn't keep my headset from working.
