I watched some the early part of the stream like The Lab and Job Simulator and the Vive seems like a better piece of technology than Oculus Rift. I think the room scale VR stuff is cool with the Vive. I also the controllers for the Vive are really cool. I dont have a gaming computer but I have a PS4 and I have PSVR pre ordered. I think during GDC Sony said the PSVR can support room scale VR.

Whatever the minimum spec for the Rift is. It's the same rig they did the Rift stream on last week.
Those framedrops, damn.
About the same as the minimum specs for the Vive.
GTX 970, 16GB of RAM and i5-6400.

Another method I've seen is pausing and rotating the world around you, but that would mean you turning a lot to move in a straight line.

The thing about having a min VR spec is that it doesn't necessarily apply to all games. Before getting a VR headset, I think I'll want at least a 980 TI or something from the upcoming Pascal GPUs and a better CPU/mobo.
