I said right there in the podcast that I would let everyone know when I hit level 30 and otherwise there's nothing left to talk about. Good lord.

I haven't played Destiny nor do I ever intend to but it's interesting to hear your take vs. Jeff's; not tired of the discussion.

I think the reason I'm not tired of it is because both sides are represented. If it was just endless love (or endless hate) I couldn't deal with it.

That's what I was referring to actually. I was just saying I hope that actually happens and Destiny doesn't accidentally take over the conversation for half an hour again, as it seems to have a way of doing. Sorry if I sounded like complaining, it was more of a "I'm holding you to this!" than anything else. Because, like you said, pretty much every topic of conversation about the game has been exhausted.

With regards to Destiny, I made it to 20 mostly by myself and then just didn't want to play it anymore. I may have been interested in the raid but what I'm not interested in is grinding to level 26 and then not having matchmaking.

I've been playing the crucible sporadically here and there, but it just hasnt hooked me like Halo did although the mechanics might be a little tighter. There's just too many ways you can be instakilled for me.

Oddly enough, playing Destiny got me to resub to WoW after many many years. I feel like I might be up to grinding in Destiny while watching something else on a second monitor, but it requires to much effort. I can mindlessly level in WoW on the other hand.

Thank you.

The Twitch thing was interesting, even as someone who watches a good bit of comp videos and such (10 years running!). But yeah Jeff, people do that. It's one of the reasons it's so hard to push yourself to get better at games: the instant it's out there on the web, shitters shit on you (but you know this even better than I do).

I'd love a Brad twist on the Vinny music editing. I loved the sound mixing aspect. I didn't realise or comprehend how much work Vinny put into that aspect.

Jeff didn't play much at all. I got an upgraded Oz tank 1 hour in. Even if your tank depletes, your health barely ticks down...so I don't see anyone ever dying from lack of oxygen. It's mainly there to think about as a trade-off when using the glide jump or ground slam.

And you can just play as claptrap and never worry about it.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
I don't care that they're critical of it at all. The criticisms toward Destiny are accurate, like I said.

My point is that we're halfway through October headed into the biggest season for games and the focus of discussion for a month now has been a game largely considered to be a disappointment. All the while games they loved aren't talked about a whole lot. There was a decent chunk on Mordor and IIRC one person stated they loved Bayonetta 2 but no one inquired any further than that. I am merely pointing out how frustrating it is that this one game is getting more attention than better games, even when the people talking about it agree those games are better.

It's like listening to a podcast featuring TV reviewers who spend 20 minutes every show talking about how stupid American Idol is rather than how good Hannibal is.

I get the complaint and was kind of bummed that some of the other games were swept under the rug with no real discussion, but at the very least I was completely engrossed in the Destiny talk. There was actual enthusiasm driving that debate from both sides, something that has felt missing from the podcast for a long while.

As of now it seems difficult to really expect much else given that assignments for other major releases are set and thus most of the panel can't really interject much perspective on Bayonetta, Evil Within, and other major releases if only the early sections have been played and/or one member has checked them out. Can be frustrating I guess, but it sounds a bit fickle expecting so much from these guys, especially when half of them spent all weekend playing Destiny and little else.

I love the Destiny talk actually, the game is very interesting in the type of way it gets talked about. It is interesting to hear you and jeff go back and forth over the game. Don't mind the haters Brad.

Gonna make an app that tells you the time stamps for Destiny discussions in podcasts.

Or a Chrome extension that replaces "Destiny" with "My Butt."

Borderland 2 humor was just referencial humor that didnt contribute to the jokes them self. In Saintsrow 4 the gameplay was big part of most jokes and the jokes had good timing and structure for most of them. Not just referencial internet jokes.

I think you're talking about tiny tina mostly.

Other than her it's not really that meme-fueled.

Can anyone else not stand Brad lately? He comes off as extremely argumentative and smug in virtually every piece of media he's featured in. He's always kind of been that way but since he's taken up hosting duties its getting way more noticeable, and annoying.
