Giant Bombcast - 11/03/15

Rorie is the worst. I often find myself cringing whenever he talks during UPFs. I get the feeling the rest of the crew feels the same way but they just put up with him. I'm sure hes a nice guy, but he doesn't really fit in with the other dudes.

Oh come on, what a thing to say. That's not cool.

I generally dislike all the wrestling talk on this show, but it was pretty fun to hear about Dan's experience playing heel at an actual wrestling event.

Poor Glitches. As someone who uses 1tb per month on the regular, going back to a 10gb limit with 15kb/s sounds like some dark ages stuff.

I don't post in these threads often but thought I'd come in to add to the voices of the Rorie fans, I think he's a great part of the team.

Posts like this should really be ban worthy. They add nothing to a conversation, and only serve to potentially hurt someone.

I used to say shit like this too, but luckily I have come to the realization that these are real people we are talking about who possibly read these threads, and my stupid fucking opinions serve no positive purpose.

Mordor was just zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

the combat was braindead and boring
BUT IT WAS SO "VICERAL" AND "CINEMATIC"

the world was suuuper average and pretty boring, traversal was probably the only part of the game I liked (the "vehicles" controlled pretty bad though).

nemesis system didn't work for me because the combat was so braindead easy ( I didn't die in the 12 or so hours I spent with the game, some orc dude escaped me once though).

I just don't get the hype, and I don't think a backlash is unwarranted when we're getting so many mechanically good games this year.

I like that Brad said Mordor would still easily be top 5 this year and Jeff was like "Ehhhhh maybe". Man last year sucked.

I think they are just defensive about Mordor since it was their GOTY.

Whenever an old game is being discussed Jeff is usually always the first person to say, "Man you should go back and look at that game again, because it wasn't as awesome as you remember."

Anyone who dissents Rorie goes straight to my ignore section, because frankly, their general opinions might be as shite as well.

Rorie is god damn fun, his jokes are all hidden and his insights in various things is interesting to hear. Not to mention his amazing voice he brings us.

I love Rorie's inability to resist very quickly slipping in lame jokes at the end of any point he's making.

"You're not wrong." I keep hearing this on podcasts more and more. Isn't it easier to just say "You're right" or do they not have entirely the same meaning?

"You're not wrong" carries undertones of "yes, you're right, but..." or some reluctance to agree with the point, to me at least. That's in most cases - I'm sure people use it for the same exact thing as "you're right" quite a lot too. I use that phrase a lot.

Stop talking about real people like they are characters from a TV show that you can analyse

Drew is so damn funny, and no one gives him any attention.

Dan: I've never said that word out loud before!

Drew: (quietly, but confidently) You still haven't.

I literally laughed out loud. Quite literally. A sharp bark of laughter during a long and dreary commute.

Thank you, Drew.

His "Ken Block joins the yakuza" as the end for Need For Speed's story was laugh out loud funny too.

But did the other chuckleheads notice? No.

Drew always makes lil side comments that crack me up. I think it's funnier when they don't notice.
