#4 in my book, but I agree its a great 'cast.
 
All their voices sound the same to me... And the opinons are all too similar to set the scene for a fun pod cast.

For me, one of the reasons the 1up show is the best in the business is because of the internal conficts between the speakers. People disagreeing is much more fun to listen to then people agreeing with each other.

Yeah I think I probably agree with that. Bombcast dudes are very agreeable thats for sure.

I dunno, it's kinda tiring to listen to arguments on the scale of 1UpYours too often. Listening to the latest one (the repeat from e3 2006) really wore me down thanks to Luke's tantrum and the inability for anyone to actually discuss what was going on. Plus they feature a little too much on the business side of things for my taste. I live it every day, so I'm not all that interested in hearing about it so much.

I do love 1UpYours though, definitely my #2.

Arguments based on reasonable positions, facts, and logic are great to listen to. That hasn't really happened much on the Bombcast yet, agreed.

But the problem with 1up Yours now is that one of the cast regularly takes bizarre, ill-thought-out positions, and ends up sounding like a troll in order to create that conflict. Then when presented with rational arguments he'll often avoid them (maybe singing "I Want It All") or shout them down.

That just ends up being frustrating. I'd rather have enthusiasm for games, general agreement, and reviews of energy drinks.

Haven't listened to the Giant Bombcast since the first one, but hahaha, they still talk about drinks.
 
I've tried listening to this podcast, twice...

In-Depth Liquid Refreshemnt Discussion = I turn your shit off and delete it
 
Very enjoyable, easy to tell that these guys enjoy games that they play (as opposed to "I heard that..." or "It seems like..." about games they haven't a clue about.)
 
The drinks talk still does nothing for me.

Other than that, this has shot right up to my top list of podcasts. This, Player One, 1Up Yours and GFW = happy times.

Awesome news, Like a musket pointed at my man parts I am forced to re-up with the Giant Bombcast. Always enjoyed the show but time constraints affected my podcast listening time. With the new cast GBC has reached GFW levels of quality radio.:lol

I had no idea GB staff was on GAF. Will they be OK absorbing the frustrated, overreacting fanboy hate as we inevitably attempt to drive them off GAF for the crime of showing they give a shit about the fans of their site?

First time I listened today, really enjoyed the non game stuff, I didn't listen to the hotspot for comparison. I'll probably listen again.

Was that real salt on the candy or was it just like an extremely sour powder? That seems insanely unhealthy to put salt on candy like that. No monotonous voices and very little felt like filler material.
 
Giant Bomb is awesome and there podcast is one my favorites. It is great to see Vinney and Brad jump off of the sinking GS ship and join up with Jeff and Ryan. Good times ahead.
 
Awesome, love it with 4. All the "big announcement" discussion had me a bit befuddled? Wasn't there a discussion of a big announcement saved for the end also?
 
I doubt Rich Gallup would join Giant Bomb since he quit to move back east with his girlfriend and watch the Patriots :lol

The green-screen stuff on the new How to Build a Bomb video were freaking hilarious. Ryan Davis is awesome.

Can't wait for the full site to unveil!

I grew out of 1up Yours a long time ago. Sometimes it just feels like a professional forum troll flamewar in podcast form, and, at least back when I stopped listening to it, it went on ridiculously long (three hours?!). Too much angry debating and too much childish sniping for my tastes.

I started listening to On The Spot 'cause Jeff and the gang were a lot less cynical and bitchy, but they were still funny as hell. It was just more fun to listen to overall - it wasn't some alcoholic sailors screaming at each other over business politics, it was just friends having fun. I followed Jeff to Giant Bomb and I'm overjoyed to hear some of my favorite guys from Gamespot (and On The Spot) are on the team.

A+ would listen again.
 
I checked my local store Jungelvrål inventory. There were only a few bags left where other candies were fully stocked! Tho I'm not sure if Jungelvrål salesnumbers is in any way related to giantbombcast :)

As an original swede I have eaten quite a few Jungelvråls in my life. But I have avoided them lately because of the stuck in teeth effect.. yeah they're pretty great.

Yeah, I only picked up 1UpYours relatively recently, long after Luke left, and on the whole it seems totally different now compared to that repeat they put out. I'm not sure if it's indicative of that time period, but I couldn't continue listening to it if that was typical of its time.
