I just realized there is so much potential for spoilers with something like this. I haven't watched the latest Man of Steel trailer...someone could pop up a gif from it any second,

I'm certain they can add some general rules concerning this to the ToS, if necessary. You can do it on the mobile site, but it makes them all clickable. There's no set way to mark a specific image as a spoiler, though.

I get green shit all over the GIF when I use it on YouTube
Click on edit. Then right click any of the frames. Uncheck "show green screen". It worked for me.
But then when I do that, I can't edit the gif in Photoshop or anything because all the "green screen" effects disappear and my image sucks.

I am probably doing something wrong then. So then the follow up, how do I make YouTube smaller? Resizing the browser just cuts parts of it off.
I also ended up deleting even frames for that specific gif and it worked fine.

Look at the OP. You can zoom out browser to reduce image size.

Hopefully only relating to maximum GIF size. I love a good GIF reply.
Gifcam does change the rules. It's never been this easy to create a high quality GIF. I'm now checking out movies just to get original stuff...

GIFs don't make any difference, since they're hosted on a multitude of external sites. It's all the F5'ing when a megaton drops that the site goes down.

I am not so sure about that. A few high quality gifs in a fast moving thread is OK but I fear that GAF cannot handle this new power........
Ok, now someone needs to make a transparent app that just shows text in impact with a black outline. Throw that over your target video and you're golden...

Yup. Making clips to import into Imageready is unnecessary now, but it's still useful for optimization.I don't think gifs will be banned, but hopefully everyone learns to resize their shit.
