I know its a leak, so not strictly legal but im not posting links and this is clearly a deliberate leak by the producers because the show didnt get picked up, so hopefully discussing it is ok.

Basically the WB commissioned a Pilot episode for a TV show adapted from the Global Frequency comic. They haven't picked it up for whatever reason but they did do the right thing and give it back to the studio (rather than locking it in a vault), the pilot has been leaked and is getting a lot of positive attention..I just watched it and i think it could be a great show.

Basic story is that the Global Frequency is a worldwide network of agents/spies/experts (all double agents working for the Global Frequency) formed by a former NSA agent Miranda Zero (Michelle Forbes, who kicks serious ass in the pilot) to stop world threatening problems without the restrictions and accountability of the government agencies. Thanks to the lack of these boundaries the Global Frequency is connected to every cell-phone, computer, security system and information database on the planet.

It sounds 24 ish but really its a lot less confined by reality, the pilot (adaptation of the first comic) features
A human A-bomb
.

Theres a lot of good stuff in the pilot but it doesnt really reveal the real crux of the show which is that you dont know Mirandas true intentions for the GF, and according to the writers it will quickly become clear that the GF isnt the benevolent group the pilot makes it out as.

I definitely recommend you pick this up from your local torrent site.

Anyone else seen it yet?

I just watched it. Although it was somewhat rough, being the pilot and all, I thought it was a good adaptation. It's too bad it wasn't picked up, but at the same time I can't really see it being WB material.

Sounds like a good premise and sounds watchable. I can't download this as i am on 56k (I can't even find it anyway).

Would it be possible for someone else to pick this up now or do WB own some rights after paying for the pilot?

Seen it. Horrible, absolutely horrible. Hope with all my heart that no network will unleash this crap.

WB have released it back tot he studio which means any other network can pick it up now. The executive producer is the guy behind Survivor so hopefully his name has some weight with the other networks.

They certainly seem hopeful that it will get picked up elsewhere.
