God bless Family Feud for the SNES!

Last year I played this for a couple days out of boredom.

The asian family are 11-time champions.

My sister used to play that game all the freakin' time. It used to drive me nuts 'cuz it cut into my Super Mario World and Battle Chash time.

Mmmm... Battle Clash... I wish Nintendo would revive that on the GC.

My gf got this a couple of years ago. Limited fun, but the interesting thing was when I traded it in like a year ago, it was worth more than any of my other PSOne games I traded in by a HUGE margin. I think I got like $15 for it.

Apparently, all of those game show titles do very well with the late adopters.

Richard Dawson > *.

The show's still fun to watch- I tend to watch game shows purely to make fun of the idiots that are on there. Lingo and Family Feud are perfect for this.

Name a place where you stand in line.

The front!

My god this game sucked. You had to input answers via the in-game keyboard, the actual recognition of what you put down as your answers was awful, and the game just flat out sucked.

Worst game by gametek by far (they did do this game, right?)

Have you seen any other game by gametek?

They're all this bad. Whether it's Jeopardy, Family Feud, or American Gladiators.

It's not THAT bad. It's just some things make no sense. Things like bicycle don't get recognized when the answer is bike. In the final, if you replicate someone's answer it'll buzz... UNLESS that particular answer gets 0 points. Then the game will just accept the answer twice. That's some real bad quality control right there.

It's better just to play an online version.

I don't like the new TV show. I was watching it and they had the question "name a holiday only celebrated in the US" and Thanksgiving was number 1.... which is WRONG! Might as well have the question "name a small animal" and the number one answer is elephant.

My friend and I used to play this all the time.

Name a famous person with the initials DD
Don Davis

NOOOOOO!
Not before they revive Punch Out!

Memories of sitting in my Junior High School waiting for my late bus (It was always late, scheduling thing) and playing Family Feud on Uproar. Good times. I used to watch it when Combs was on...like when they had on WWF guys. The Mountie playing Family Feud? You betta believe it.

Isn't that more the fault of the pollees than the pollers?

Anyway, in the spirit of this thread, here's an RM file with clips of lots of dumb Family Feud answers:

Exactly. I often wonder who in the hell they ask for those polls. It would make a great documentary, really. Keep track of everyone polled and ask them what in the hell they were thinking.

Oh, and the MOST idiotic thing about the show, in all incarnations, is how people's teams refuse to crush the self-esteem of the idiots in the group. If you say a dumb answer, your team saying "GOOD ANSWER!" over and over after a 5 second delay to wonder what the fuck they were thinking is just wrong.

Yeah, but if I was the Family Feud people I'd throw out the question entirely if people consistantly were getting it wrong. I'm sure even the pollers didn't realize the answers they were getting were wrong.
