That is major flow of Sony games. They have good gameplay and story. But the amount of cutscene is unbearable sometimes.

To be honest i am not to surprised, Everyone who wanted to play GoW has probably already played it. Old ports never do as well as there initial launch, I bet if it launched on PC the same time as PS4 it would be 100k+

I know the MCC were remasters of old games too, so all I can think of is that PC players are not as fussed about GoW. I always thought the game was a bit overrated.

You would be incorrect. You may not like the genre, but the game itself, as a standalone is fantastic.

This is what's going to cause conflict in the sony priorities. Their investment into mp games like deviation are likely imo to be out on pc at launch (there is one job listing specifically called out for directx experience). Any of the big publishers that they buy are slowing trending to pc day one anyways.

Have you considered concurrent players mean nothing when you're looking at 2 completely different games/genres?

I have a few friends on Steam playing both MH:R & GoW. The people that play GoW play for ~2-3hr sessions, whereas the people who play Rise are consistently playing 8+ hrs a day.

Good point! Hey, I thought GOW would sell better, but initial indications were that it didn't. It will be interesting to see what the MHR numbers do once the DLC releases. If GOW is currently ahead it could still go either way long term.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but check this box on Steam and it'll list every base game including f2p with all its associated DLC, season passes, expansions. If you don't, you will see hardware and individual objects on the chart.

Sort that way and MH:R is constantly ahead as the top grosser when it includes the deluxe edition and DLC.
With GoW being cheaper it might sell more individual copies. Either way, both are doing great.

MP only or MP first games are different. Those should be on PC same day as PS5. Gamers are smart enough to know the difference between The Last of US 3 on PS5 first and then later on PC, from Deviation's game being on PC and PS5 day and date.

I think that's a great thing! I will get to play GOW, Uncharted 4, and other high profile Sony games without owning a PS4/5! I haven't bought GOW because I'm waiting for a deep, deep discount. I can't justify $50 when GOW can be had for $10 on PS4 today! I know the PC version is the definitive version, but still $40 upcharge? Ehh....I'll wait! I probably would buy Bloodborne day one for $50 though. LOL

I understand why you aren't sure. People can be dumb at times. It really comes down to Sony explaning why their free to play or MP games are on PC day one, and why their other games like Spiderman 2 aren't. If gamers can't understand that, then who cares really. That's honestly Nintendo's approach to their gaming model. If you don't get it, then screw you. And I LOVE their business model.
