That medusa head has to go...it looks so out of place...almost like it's a photoshop edit. :|
 
Hideous. I'm very happy that we at least got the one we got, the one they were planning to use at first for the US release was equally hideous.

Well, I hope the game hits the bargain bin as soon as most of the other Sony titles... with a cover like this it can't take too long.
 
Without Medusa's head: Good.

With Medusa's head: Terrible.

As people say, it is too damn out of place. It looks like a phothoshop hack job.
 
last time i checked, we didn't play boxart. I don't care too much about games boxart once I get them. I care about the gameplay

No shit? Too bad a crap boxart can make a game less attractive to the idiots that let such things affect their purchases. And also, some boxarts really suck enough to be used as a (minor) complaint like the US' ICO box :b

seriously, the cover is horrendeous. The medusa really destroys it.
Why does it have to be the focus of the cover at all?

Agreed. It's definitely better than three out of the four covers that were originally under consideration for the US release. (The one they finally went with was the best of the lot, IMO.)

Think I'll buy this via mail order...I'd be ashamed to walk into a shop and buy something with coverart like that :lol

As if that wasn't enough, there are also flying people and giants and monsters and magic and shit in the game. And to think I thought this game was a documentary! :(

Who is talking about the game? I was pretty much comparing it to the NA cover, not whether it was in accordance with the style or presentation of the game. Chill the fuck out. Christ.
 
I actually like that box art much more than the US box art. I never liked the color scheme for the US box and you can't even see the main character's face. The medusa head looks a little weird but it's not that bad IMO.
 
Someone needs to put up a scan of the Quantum Redshift cover just to remind is all of how bad things can REALLY be. :lol
