Should we "New Thread - New News" it? Or too soon to call, you think?

Only interested if they can get the first game, as I've never played it.
SS2 on its own is a damn fine game, but I feel you'll get the most out of it by playing SS1 beforehand. Why SS2 instead of 1? Do you miss anything if you play 2 and skip 1.
As a huge SS fan I'll say it is too archaic to really enjoy these days. Give it a remake though and it would be ... Well probably ruined but you never know.
SS2 still stands up.
Never played either SS game. I'm eager to give it a try.
Do you need to have played SS1 to understand the sequel?

My $9.99 is ready.
Time to put aside 10 dollars in anticipation for SS2...
The extra content being bundled as part of the GOG release will be well worth the price, were told.
System Shock Portable helps a tiny bit though, with the control/aesthetic barriers (adds higher-res support, mouselook, and a few other odds and ends), which may be enough for some people who are determined enough to enjoy it.
I was just thinking I wouldn't be surprised if whoever has the rights tries to capitalise on the huge demand for it by charging more than expected, but hopefully I'm wrong. You may - possibly - be disappointed:
That says to me that they might be thinking of selling it at a premium.
SS2 remake?
To be fair, as long as it's not ridiculously extortionately-priced, I think they can justify breaking away from the $6/$10 model for this title.I was just thinking I wouldn't be surprised if whoever has the rights tries to capitalise on the huge demand for it by charging more than expected, but hopefully I'm wrong.

Would you buy SS2 for 30$?
Which do you prefer: A rich story, or actually having fun? What do you advice me to start with? Planescape or Fallout?

Games that seriously need to be on GOG are the two System Shocks, Grim Fandango, Knight's Chase, and Albion.
Very unfamiliar with GOG... would this be a revised version of the game (HD or something) or the same as whats on my original game disc?
FalloutUhm thats a hard one, but i guess having fun keeps me playing?
Awww Yuissss, can it be true? I hope this is not a cruel joke.
its the original game without any changes. BUT, it will run natively under modern Windows without you having to do any tricks.
No one knows. Gog releases are usually preconfigured to work on modern day computers. Usually includes the latest patch, and some times includes unofficial patches/mods if the community area them as a necessity.you had me at System Shock 2.
