See I don't think it's only about riding the N64 hype. I think there's also a feeling that after starting off this current series of Brosnan Bonds well with Goldeneye, that the quality of the subsequent films have taken a nose-dive (I never saw DAD, but from what I've heard it's the worse Brosnan Bond, and TWINE was pretty dire, so).

Add to that, it's looking increasingly likely that there will be a change to the Bond series soon, as they'll either go with the Brosnan/Tarantino Casino Royale remake, or they'll get a new Bond and there's a sort of looking back over the previous Bonds and Goldeneye is the one that stands out from them.

But that doesn't mean this game isn't going to be top-notch. After Everything Or Nothing, it has to be.

Eh.. I think it's already been established that this isn't "Goldeneye" and shouldn't be thought of as such. Different character, plot, side alignment, no satellite in space and the fact that it is named Goldeneye simply because the main character gains a golden eye during the game all prove it.

I for one am more interested in playing the bad guy/rogue agent role than looking for a continuation to the Goldeneye brand.

Maybe EA should change the title and add a space in between the words or so, so that it becomes "Golden Eye".

Hm, the trailer is pretty good. But... is there any real-time Gameplay footage? They're playing up the destructbable environments and hand-to-hand fighting. If this is truly representative of the final prduct... Hot Damn!

When I heard that Sato (ex Team Silent) was working on this game as an Art Director, I thought I'd see some good things. Thus far, its been the opposite, the art direction is quite horrible .

Neither Brosnan nor Tarantino will be anywhere near the next Bond film. Brosnan was Quentin's only support for a Casino Royale remake, and Brosnan has confirmed that they're not asking him back for the next flick. According to Brosnan it'll be an Australian as the next Bond...

Oh, and I agree about the art direction here. The whole thing looks really blah to me.
