Before reading my message, I understand that there may be some people that truly, absolutely loathe them, and would never, ever consider listening to them... and I'm inclined to agree with you. The new album is pretty terrible. Though I will admit to liking one or two of the songs on here for being light pop songs.

However, the rest of the album is like a cliched medley of everything they've been criticized for. The track "I Just Want To Live" is a repeat offender, and possibly the worst thing I've ever heard in my life. The lyrics are garbage (no surprise there). Beyond ridiculous. They are laughable. Just check out this sample of these lyrics, rapped even:

I need an alarm system in my house,
So I know when people are creeping about,
these people are freaking me out,
These days it's getting hectic wherever I go,
They won't leave me alone, there's [sic] things they all want to know
I paranoid of all the people I meet,
Why are they talking to me?

It continues on to this gold:

I rock a lawsuit when I'm going to court,
A white suit when I'm getting divorced,
A black suit, at the funeral home,
and my birthday suit when I'm home alone,
Talkin' on the phone, gotta an interview with the Rolling Stone,
They're saying: "Now you're rich and now you're famous,
fake ass girls all know your name and lifestyles of the rich and famous,
Your friends hate, Are you ashamed of the life you're livin'?"

I shit you not. Mix that together with that funk sounding chorus, and you've got a real winner.

Why listen to pretty good Good Charlotte when there are so many other amazing bands out there? I guess that's my logic.
