I wouldn't be surprised if some particular event happened, that caused a racist uprising in the US. There is soooo much deeprooted racisim that people cover up, that your best friend, or someone that you thought you were fairly close with could immediately turn on you and try to kill you. Racism is stronger than ever in America, I mean shit, just look at the Internet for proof. The Internet is a place where you can remain "anonymous" and expose your TRUE feelings.
It wouldn't surprise me if one of my good freinds were to turn against me tomorrow and let it be known that they hate my guts simply over my skin color, that idea sadly doesn't seem far fetched at all. It's not even a paranoia thing, it's just the underlying mass amount of racisim I see on the Internet every day. I mean, some one out there has GOT to feel that way, or there wouldn't be so much, right? The only thing difference between now and the 1960's is people do a really good job of hiding it. Pretty sad, but I've decided to face the reality of it all. You can disagree all you want, and argue that "we've made a lot of progress".. Sure, to the naked eye, the progress has been significant. It's what you don't see and don't realize that's scary, believe me, I've experienced it first hand.
