I was planning on upgrading from my nexus 4 to the 6.. Looks like i'll be going the nexus 5 instead.. Or maybe the Moto X? idk.

With prices starting at $750in canada might as well buy an iPhone instead.
I held off buying a phone hoping google would deliver again but they fucked up hard on this one.

Hopefully nexus 5 gets a refresh....

I'm hoping for that too.

But for now, I may actually get a 32GB Nexus 9. It's really damn gorgeous and the K1 chip is very fascinating to me :).

Price is definitely a shock, was hoping for that to be one of its main advantages. Right now, aside from turbo charging, there doesn't seem to be many reasons to get it over a Note 4. Then again it does look pretty awesome.

They finally made a decent Android tablet with a sane and logical aspect ratio for a tablet! Took WAY too long.

Very expensive though, might as well get an iPad for the apps.

Yeah what happens when you want a torrent app? Or to set default apps? Or prefer Lollipop's design to iOS 8? lol, $400 is not very expensive for a 9" tablet

Only a couple of things are making me consider the nexus 9 instead of an ipad air 2 but at the same time the ipad air 2 still has a few advantages as well. I guess I'll see tomorrow.

I'm only going to be getting the Nexus 6 because of the battery. Will sell my Nexus 7 since this is a huge fucking phone.

Very nice and finally something Verizon is getting on board with. I was planning on a Note 4, but this takes the cake.

So they ruined the most attractive part about a Nexus to me, which was the price.

Might as well buy an iPhone now, dafuq.

Looks a lot better than I was expecting, and sounds like a great piece of tech but $650? Glad I bought a Oneplus One the other week. Roughly half the price and still holds up against the likes of the iPhone 6+.

Don't know whether to get a Nexus 5 now or wait and see if there's a price drop or refresh. Decisions...

May as well wait and see. They're plentiful everywhere and only around $350 USD. It's not like they're going to become scarce or actually increase in price.

dat nexus 6 wowwwww. I can't upgrade, staying with 4 for an extra year =/.

If i could get a phone it would be this or the new sharp aquos cause that phone sexy. But 6inches is insane

So is it safe to say that Google kinda fucked the Nexus line this year, pricing-wise? I want to get a cheap android device to mess around with Lollipop. How's the 2013 Nexus 7 holding up? I remember reading that the 2012 model had tons of issues over time.

If you want a cheap device to mess around with Lollipop, why not the Nexus 5? It's not going anywhere any time soon and it will get Lollipop, as will the Nexus 4.

The Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 are very different of course. One's a tablet and the other's the Nexus 9.

Yeah I can say that in the last couple months my OG N7 has become a stuttering fool. Super slow, locks up all the time, often takes a while to wake. It just is not doing well at all. Battery is still OK and oddly enough most games run fine once you're in them, but switching between stuff and trying to do more than one thing at a time gives it a heartattack.

Don't know anything about the 2013 model though or it's life expectancy. My cousin has it and loves it.

I was considering that too but I'm pretty happy with my iPhone 5S. I nearly bought a Z3C, but I think I'm going to stick with my iPhone. I'd rather just mess around with Lollipop on a cheap (but not crappy) tablet. Nexus 7 2013 seems to be the best of that class of device.

Sounds reasonable. I'm excited to update my Nexus 10.

Alright so the Nexus 6 was going to be my next phone, but that price is too high for me.

What should I go with instead? I want an Android phone without a bunch of shovelware on it if possible.

Moto X (2014). $500 (16GB), $550 (32GB) off contract.

iPhone 6+ and Nexus 6 Baseline and 64GB Comparisons

32GB Nexus 6 $650
16GB iPhone 6+ $750

64GB Nexus 6 $700
64GB iPhone 6+ $850

That this is even a comparison is a bit sad. For a while there, Nexus used to mean great performance at a terrific price. Now it's great performance at an average price. I mean, I could get the arguably far more capable Note 4 outright for only $100 more than the base Nexus 6. Last year, comparing the base Nexus 5 to a Note 3's outright price would have been ridiculous.
