i was hoping for 3GB for the nexus 9. 4 would have been awesome. but 2GB? we'll see how it goes. i guess i'll buy it for my mom. she didn't like the size of the nexus 7.

$399 for a 16 gb tablet?! Wtf, might as well get an iPad. This news disappoints me greatly. Love cheap nexus tablets, this is terrible news.

Man... 6 is really pushing it. That's basically a tablet.

But that player looks really interesting. Any pricing/release date available on that?

I guess I'm probably done with Nexus phones moving forward. I always liked them for being quality phones with relatively affordable pricing. I think I'll just repair my Nexus 5.

Looks like the Nexus 5 is being kept around, unupgraded

wat are you doing google?

I've had my wallet ready for months now as I need a new phone badly. Nexus 6 is not what I want at all.

My last hope was a refreshed Nexus 5, I don't care if it looks the exact same, just bump up the specs a bit and I'll grab it. I just don't feel comfortable purchasing it now knowing it's not the latest product.

This is the biggest pricing disappointment since the Fire Phone. But I guess that's the market these days. I guess I shouldn't feel bad if I ultimately go with an iPhone.

Really curious if the Nexus 9 follows suit. Amazon's 8.9" Fire HDX is $380 and mostly identical in specs, plus a surcharge for the new 64-bit Tegra K1 it shouldn't cost more than $400 I'd think.

Edit: $400 it is.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 16GB is $399 (419$ CAD). The Nexus 9 price isn't out of the line.

Those dimensions, yuck. Even bigger than the iphone 6+.

Everything about the phone is perfect apart from the size (pricing is obviously not what we expected from Nexus). Probably won't even fit in my pockets.

Does anyone know what that messaging app that is shown in the 5.0 screens on the site? I still see hangouts in some but did they create yet another SMS app?

$649? If I were getting a premium priced phablet I'd rather get iPhone 6 Plus then.

Nexus 9 is an insta-buy though.

Maybe having devices with Android L, iOS 8, and Windows Phone 8.1 is the best way rather than committing to one ecosystem.
