Google Pixel 2 - answers are coming Oct 4th

Anyone know how the trade ins will work for preorder? Like can I preorder pixel 2 XL and trade in my XL at a later date when the 2 comes out?

When the phone arrives you'll have 30 days to send them your original. At least that's what I read on Reddit from someone who contacted support.

Come on already Google! Even though I feel like we know what we're going to get.

When can we expect price drops of competitors?

What features are you all looking forward to on the Pixel 2? I'm eager to hear what they're doing with their camera tech.

they usually have something that makes it worthwhile. The hardware leaked out, but we will see what they offer in the phone to make it interesting.

The settings seems to allow me to pick 30, 60 or 90 days as the window.

But like ThanksVision said, there is a separate button in the photo gallery app to clear out all backed up photos/videos immediately.

Awesome. Thanks guys!

Trying decide between this or waiting for the V30.

Same. I'm curious what software features, if any, Google has under wraps. Last year, Assistant integration was the initial big sell, and I wonder if they'll try something similar again.

Which site has the best live tracker/ticker for this? I can watch the video live but good to get summaries as we go along.

I'd definitely like to have a flagship phone after years of using budget phones. I don't think I'm prepared to have my phone bill double.

Is this going to be a $1100 iPhone like flagship?

Count me out. I don't like the idea of paying for a tiny laptop priced device that is one drop away from a junk pile.

Been good with phones, but it's too much risk, even with ADH insurance. Still rocking my N5 and it's been a tank. Want to upgrade to something new, but everything is the size of a book or $1000 now. Blah.

why are people celebrating it being verizon exclusive?
i dont get google's strategy here
these stupid phones should be available via every carrier if google really wants to sell these to average consumers and take on apple/samsung

Or just buy the phone off the Google store.

The new always-listen music feature seems to work offline and doesn't send "data" to Google

I feel like the regular Pixel 2 fits your bill, then? $650 and comparable size to your N5.
