Google Pixel 2 - answers are coming Oct 4th

They said they were expanding the user base for Google Assistant in an unprecedented way, yet they add only one more country?

Seven countries? Really? Siri is in, what, 25? Pathetic.
I assumed they mean expanding the base by releasing a $49 version of Home. And I think the 7 countries is only for Home, not Assistant, but I could have heard wrong.

I dunno if I have just consumed too much scifi, but all of this feels a bit dystopian to me.

Mesh routers were much pretty built for people who don't know what that is.

Not necessarily? My friend just wanted something simple for his large home. But didn't expect a $300 system to lack one of the most basic dhcp features you can expect from a router. He returned it and was planning to get the Orbi system.

Google Home Max, looks great, sounds great. Might buy this for parties.

$400 is too rich for my blood.

Useless gadgets for bored rich upper middle class folks: The conference.

NeoGaf, the conference.

I have 0 interest in this smart house assistant shit. Just get to the pixel already.

Google home is pretty damn sweet. I bought one last year and really like stuff like this. I might get the small oen for my basement... i'd get it just for the broadcast thing so my wife and I don't have to yell up the stairs at each other.

I don’t think they confirmed a price yet?

edit yup 400.

I bought some Sonos this summer, part of me wishes I waited for this.
