Got a question for Uwe Boll?

Patrick Klepek

Yeah, that's right, I'm interviewing that crazy motherfucker tomorrow afternoon for a feature I'm working up, and figured you guys would be all over this. Yeah, yeah, I know, it's easy to just blast him -- but try to keep it semi-serious, 'k?

FIRE AWAY!

How do you convince AAA actor like Ben Kingsley to be in your films
(shitfests)
?

How do you feel about the critics' and the video game fans' opinion of your films
(shitfests)
?

...i guess those are serious enough.

exXy, you should really try to bait Boll.

He's been known to get pretty arrogant in his interviews and, if you get him on a rant, he is bound to spirt out some hilarious comments.

There is no rational contribution to the world or film industry that your interview could possibly bring... other than this guy making a fool of himself and entertaining the readers. Might as well take advantage of the situation. :lol

Seriously, ask him how he still gets big budgets even after the horrible failures of his movies

I don't even want to think about it.

that is a good example of a baiting question that will produce hilarious results. I guarantee he will spin it somehow to make it sound like he has some huge underground 'cult' following for his films- or how they really "didn't turn out bad at all, just completely misunderstood."

The guy is a delusional asshat- and dealing with an extreme delusional egomaniac like Boll always results in fun times for all.
How does someone create such a big ego without a single positive work in his collection? That's what I want to know.

Is there any game you would like to make a movie on that you can't/not allowed to?

Whats you favorite game based movie that you were not involved in?

and the most important...

Who inspired you to become the director you are today? (ask with serious look on you face)

on a more serious note, could you ask him 'why do you choose to adapt video games so much/what is it about them that makes you do it?' with the follow up 'would you not have more satisfaction doing original work?'

You could also ask him what he thinks of gamers' opinions of him/his movies (bringing up www.uweboll.com etc)

Ask him if he ever intends to take videogame source material seriously and actually make a good film.

Realitically ask him what his favorite videogames are and would he be interesed in making a film based on them (especially Halo or God of War).

OH DEAR GOD I had no idea he was planning on making these movies

# Far Cry (2006) (announced)
# Fear Effect (2006) (announced)
# Hunter: The Reckoning (2006) (announced)
# Night Claws (2005) (announced)
# Dungeon Siege (2006) (filming)

Holy shit, oh god. This can't be happening. *faints*

"What the fuck, man? I mean, what the fucking fuck?"

That would sum it up, but then you might just want to rip out his eye after it for effect.

I'd ask him, seriously, something to the effect "there has been some discussion about your shady financial dealings with a investment firm in Germany. How would you respond to these that say you are actually rewarded for making products that are substantively horrible, critical and financial failures? (wikipedia)"

How do you approach the adaptation of a non-linear entertainment medium (games) into a linear medium (ie: film)?

Wich takes a larger priority in the adaptation process: preserving the origional story and charecters, or recreating the overall pacing and presentation of the origional material (ie wich conveys games in a linear medium best intellectual content or visuals and presentation.)

We're talking about Uwe Boll here, come on now...

Bah.
Stop bashing Boll. He`s fucking awesome.

Ask him why he`s just making video game adaptions at the moment and for the near future. Is it a personal interest? And what`s the favourite film of his.

I can't think of any questions worth asking that wouldn't be redundant of the questions that have already been brought up.

edit: ...I am of course excluding the post directly above mine from this equation.

Ask what he thought of Shaun of the Dead.

Or Spaced.

Or rather, don't, as he isn't worthy of viewing two pieces of perfection.

Hmmm, Shaun of the Dead. Now that is a good movie.

This thread should be about Shaun of the Dead from now on. All of the Uwe Boll questions worth asking have been asked.

...serious??

"Why don't you just fuck off and die, you miserable piece of shit?"

edit: Oh, and make sure you post your interview here after it's done.

Here's a serious question

"What do you have to say about the abysmal reviews for all your recent movies? and how do you plan on avoiding such in the future? " Try to print out a couple of pages from rottentomatoes.

I'm waiting for a darn reply!
