I've read somewhere shoulder button are plastic painted with DIE-CAST paint. Is it right?
Thank you for the support Fowler!! :lol
A_Lee_N said:Fowler: did you buy any extra face plates, and are there any cool ones available? The only one i've seen is the Famicom II one available from Club Nintendo.
Looking at what the GBA sold in May 2004 (268,684) compared to June 2004 (520,905) when the NES SP was released, I think it did quite well. Maybe we can ask sonycowboy for the LTD of the NES SP since he's given totals for individual GCN bundles recently.robot said:anyone know if the nes gba sp sold well? i'd probably get a micro too if they made a nes version.

Jasoco said:For us US people who import this, will/can we buy an adapter to use our GBA SP power adapters in to charge it? The imported Famicom one comes with a Japanese only adapter, does it not?
BTW, because of your post on 1UP, I just had to order one for myself as well. It's in transit right now. I just want to be able to USE it when it arrives.
Thanks.
If they "Just work", why do they make adapters to upconvert or downconvert? I just have a hard time believing the Japanese AC Adapter will just work.aparisi2274 said:Why are you looking to use a GBA sp power charger for the GBm? The one that comes with the famicom GBm import or any import GBm for that reason, it comes with a perfectly fine power charger that works just fine in the US. Actually all japanese products will work fine in an US outlet, and vice versa.
Just buy the import GBm and forget about buying some kind of adapter.

Anyway, forget the adapter. That was a brain fart of mine. I forgot they'd sell an adapter specifically for the micro. Silly me. I wasn't using me noggin. :lol
Still, I don't know about the "Just work" thing.

Yes, that's for using the US GBm in Japan. But obviously I'll need to get something because unless the thread poster can confirm differently, I'm thinking the Famicom Micro comes with a Japanese power plug.
The GBA SP plug is exactly the same in the US and Japan. I haven't seen the US Micro yet, but I assume it's the same deal.Jasoco said:If they "Just work", why do they make adapters to upconvert or downconvert? I just have a hard time believing the Japanese AC Adapter will just work.

I've been using Japanese systems and AC adapters in the US and vice-versa for almost 15 years -- and I've never had a problem once.
Japan is actually 100V, but due to the tolerance that must be built into electrical products, they work fine in both countries.blackadde said:North America and Japan both run on 110v AC, the plugs are also identical. The 220v adapter is for Europe, the rest of Asia, etc.
Jasoco said:BUT, don't they have a totally completely different plug? That is my question. Voltage doesn't matter if you can't fit the plug in the slot.
