Haven't played a lot of this game but isn't there a reason lore-wise for those women to wear those outfits? Seems to me like they just spat on that in order to appease you know who. Sad.

Its a penalty colony which mines ore for the kings war effort against the orcs.

Gomez runs the main camp, is a total bastard to the inmates alongside extorting the king, and he owns the only women in the colony as a flex. Hence the outfits.

Way to kill your product on the home stretch. The game is riding mostly on the hope that 30/40yo+ (white heterosexual) men from Germany, Poland and eastern Europe will pick up the remake (instead of still playing the original with tons of mods installed). It's not going to attract a lot of new "modern audiences" because it's still going to have that eurojank, so catering to them is a big fail.

Not to mention that the few females from the colony are sex slaves. They weren't dressed like that in the original just because revealing clothes were widely accepted back then.

original models looked hideous. Those faces? Even back then it wasn't exactly Lara Croft lookalikes. So I call that pretty faithful in that regard.

Apart from that, women didn't play a role in the game. There was not a single female NPC that had something relevant to say and given the lore it makes sense. Women there had only one purpose and you can guess which. So it's not like they're gonna play a major role now. I don't give a fuck if they look as hideous as in the orignal game because it doesn't matter and no, it doesn't """RUIN""" another game. If the game is gonna be runied it's because it ain't fun, has shitty gameplay and combat, a poor story and janky-ass bugs and glitches but not because 3 out of 200 NPCs look like barbarians.

In that year NPCs looked like that, mostly. There's a huge technological gap. Nowadays, there's no excuse for these atrocities.

Though this is correct, we know from experience that this kind of changes are not generally the only ones. Devs who do this go the full retard route. they don't stop at screwing up with some NPCs.

Someone said it looks like they're taking a mans base mesh and tweaking it instead of re-modeling a proper woman and they're probably right. it's a product of laziness, and I think calling out the dev for being lazy and having bad models would get more of a response and effort to fix it than calling them out for being 'woke'.

The change of outfits is a clear indicator of their intentions. "The whores are no longer are allowed to wear whore's uniforms because that would be objectifying". Make it make sense.
