*fap fap fap*

My memory could be rusty, but it looks like a few of those are stretched rather than proper widescreen, in particular the G3 shots.

the image stretching in gradius gaiden looks messed up...i hope there's an option to display in its original resolution. the four numbered gradii look fantastic, though. can't wait for this.

I was thinking about picking up Gradius 3+4 for ps2, would it be beneficial to wait for this instead, and maybe just pick up 5 now?
These shots look awesome, thanks for posting :)

I saw a windowed version in the Famitsu screens so yes that option is there. Is this a remake? They barely touched the power of the PSP but thats not what Gradius is about so I doubt anyone will care.

No. Ports of the arcade versions of 1-4 and PS (only) version of Gaiden. It's for the 20th Anniversary of Gradius, by the way.

I havent gotten 3 and 4 for ps2 yet as I want a new one for a fair price... anyway I am getting both. you shiuld too!

Blurry filtering FTL. Glad there's apparently a proper-res version. I hope that's 1:1 with no filtering. I was actually kinda hoping they'd reprogram the games for true widescreen, though.

1) Everything isn't "converted to gradius 3 graphics". I'm not sure if that's the arcade version, or the PCE version, but both of them looked significantly nicer than the NES version.

2) Oh, for the love of god, make sure that Gradius 3 is the "fixed" SNES version and not the credit-eating arcade version.

I have the PCB and never made it past the 3rd level :)

And this is definately gradius alright, don't know what else you guys were all expecting.

This is great. Someone needs to do a ThunderForce collection next. Who does have access to Technosoft's IP, anyway? Are they still around?

Thunderforce III soundtrack was pure genius. A remake would sooo please me! Though I have yet to see if analog controls will be good enough to get through the latter levels.

Definitely pick up Gradius V. There's simply no reason not to.

Yes, they are ;)

Good to hear, in that case please also bring an R-Type compilation, I just love the module gameplay mechanics.

Very nice compilation, more shoot-em-ups on PSP please.

I know it won't, but it would make me very happy if Gradius II has an option for the music from the PC-Engine Super-CD version.

Wait, they're just porting them, and you can choose to stretch the resolution or box it in? Son of a bitch, that's fucking weak. I'm all for portable Gradius, but why can't they put at least a little effort into taking advantage of the hardware?

Gradius 1 and Gradius 2 are actually recoded a bit to run in real widescreen mode. Other three games music be stretched horizontally if you want to play them over the whole screen.
