I finally played the demo and went into it as someone who's unfamilar with Granblue and what it's about.
+I enjoyed the visuals a lot on quality mode, its vibrant and catches the eye. The 30fps mode feels good.
+Combat mechanics were both serviceable and fun
+I appreciate the large party
+I enjoyed some of the music I heard
-Most enemies provided no challege at whatever the base difficulty was
-Some of the big bosses were damage sponges to a point I felt was excessive
-Not a fan of the segmented map design, generally this is fine but I do appreciate some cohesiveness. Xenoblade has spoiled me
-The hub area quests seemed a bit barebones, like you select go to quest and then you're teleported to the area and it's just a battle.
Really for me now it comes down to the story, characters, world and the demo didn't really focus on those things.
I think I'm happy to wait and play this later in the year after 7R, P3, Like A Dragon, Stellar Blade and a few other games. I hope the game is a success however as I can see the devs have put in a lot of effort to make a great game for their target audiences.
