I'm surprised it survived longer than Apex, guess that one is next.
Hopefully, someone will make a hack. Someone might have already did it.Funny thing is you can play through the whole campaign missions single player, so really there is no reason why they couldnt patch the game so you can play the campaign offline.
Obviously they dont want to spend the small amount of time and money it wold take to make that patch.
Fuck EA.
which is funny since they dropped the MP from the remaster releaseFor comparison, Mass Effect 3 multi-player servers are still going and there hasn't been an announcement about shutting them down yet.
That'll be a great fresh example for the initiative to stop killing games.
If they do that, then the company's marketing and revenue management teams will go apeshit they cant sell mtx, spam emails, and blasting a giant pop up box saying their e-store has new shit to buy this week.I don't understand why most devs don't do same as Monster Hunter games does.
You can play 99% of MH's content completely offline…..ANY game that has single player content should allow you play it offline.
But the thing is MH also has leaderboards and updates, Monster Hunter in a way also live service game but it also allows play it completely offline if you want......so why other devs do what MH does?If they do that, then the company's marketing and revenue management teams will go apeshit they cant sell mtx, spam emails, and blasting a giant pop up box saying their e-store has new shit to buy this week.
Offline gamers also wont see any game's online leaderboards, friends playing online, and anything else which might entice a gamer to spend more time and money to keep up with everyone else.
In a way, it's really no different than Ikea. Just about every other store you walk into you can just beeline to the dept you want, buy stuff and leave. But Ikea makes you go through a snaky layout where you got to walk through every dept in hopes you put more stuff in your basket or cart as you walk through kitchen, bedroom, art, lamps and lightbulbs etc.... They got hidden shortcut doors to bypass depts but you cant bypass everything.
They could have used the surprisingly good flight mechanics to make something fun and well...good.
Instead we got Anthem.
Wow. I did not know that Ikea pulls that shit. Yeesh. Good thing I never went to one. That would drive me nuts.If they do that, then the company's marketing and revenue management teams will go apeshit they cant sell mtx, spam emails, and blasting a giant pop up box saying their e-store has new shit to buy this week.

Should shut down bioware too while they're at it
I fucking hate that "sunsetting" has become the norm. Just say you're shutting it down you corporate fuck pieces.![]()
That'll happen after they fuck up the next Mass Effect and it bombs like DA VeilguardShould shut down bioware too while they're at it
Its actually a good store if you want cheap stuff. And they got so much of each thing it never seems they run out of stock. It's the kind of store a lot of college dormers or someone living on their own for the first time shops at. I've bought my share of stuff there, but at some point you move on to better gear later in life. Most of their furniture is build-it-yourself too. Open the box, and screw it together yourself. A lot of it is crap MDF wood put together with allen keys.Wow. I did not know that Ikea pulls that shit. Yeesh. Good thing I never went to one. That would drive me nuts.
This is what I'm saying. I still play anthem here and there this news got me heated because I was one of the fuckin idiots who bought it at launch. This is why I'm on pc if modern gaming is cooked atleast I have an option to go back to retro. We shouldn't be buying and supporting games like this that are online only.. People complaining about games not being on physical discs, this type of thing is much worse. So I purchase a game that at some point I can't play again? And they want to charge us more for games but I can't pay to own and play forever.. Gaming industry is cooked.

Shit I didn't even know that. But you're right someone might mod anthem. There's been quite a bit of games that shutdown and someone in the pc game preserved it. I know Matrix online and City of heroes on PC are back up and those got shut down years ago.also on PC there might be a chance of a mod that makes it offline playabe... maybe if someone is especially motivated, even with local server hosting.
Apex Legends, another always online EA game, for example has a whole modded version on PC called R5 Reloaded that allows fully private server hosting, modding etc. and it's fully open source.
so even if EA ever shuts down Apex Legends, R5 Reloaded will be there to keep it alive for as long as people want.
Yeah. That was what I was thinking. It may be a quick game to run through.Core game mechanics and flight were good enough foundations, but everything else was bad with like 4 hours of content.
Bioware has been sucking for a while now though, and I'm past the point of caring if they survive anymore either.
Expect more to come.
meanwhile call of duty on the vita is still alive and well
