Im guessing u wanna futureproof ur gpu a bit, 30 or 60 u dont wanna be stuck on 12gigs vram so yup, go for 5070ti and later u can always go pedal to the metal if u think its not enough.Jesus. lots to consider. Well, i can definitely wait. Will probably see if I can stretch the budget to something like a 5080. Path/Ray Tracing, 4K res, 30fps is all im after.
But if not I can always buy a cheaper GPU (5070/RTX 9070) and upgrade it later ..... right?
Keep in mind i'm coming from a base PS5, everything will probably look insanely good to me
For 60 fps u dont need crazy strong cpu's, u saying 30 so even better, w/e modern cpu u gonna go with it will be good enough for many years, keep in mind raytracing does have some additional cpu cost, i saw it clearly back in the day where old trusty 8700k from 2017 could keep cp2077 at 60 w/o rt but as soon as i turned on rt, even at 720p, i got dips to low 50s.
But again u focusing on 30fps makes any modern cpu plenty strong, gpu will be bottleneck here, since u going for 4k and maxed settings/rt too.
Problem with pre-builds is- those are prebuilds so they wont cater to ur specific needs, especially not best buy prebuilds so it wont be that ez finding strong gpu weak cpu prebuild and ofc u know urself now- u need as strong gpu as u can only afford here.
Edit:
Here proper pc specs that would be much better for ur specific needs, aka modern but midrange cpu, but 5070ti gpu, still under 1,5k usd
Remember those pre-builders are smart ppl, they will put lots of stuff in those pc's to market it as world's 8th wonder but for ur specific needs u simply need everything baseline but modern with good upgrade-ability future options and as strong gpu as u can afford

If u got more budget simply switch to this rtx 5080 and voila:
Under 2k usd 5080 build, u can ofc decide u want 2tb ssd instead(that would be my first choice if i had more spare cash) or different case/64gigs of ram but those are small/relatively cheap things/final touches, nowadays gpu, especially if u going highend will always be bulk of the price.
