you know people always say this.. back in 99 or so when google archived old al.simpsons i use to read old post by people in 93-94 , and they complained that the simpsons jumped the shark and where no where as good as the early seasons,,,

they were complaining about seasons 5 and 6... and before that, even season 3 and 4 episodes were considered "shitty" and "jump-the-shark" quality, lol. Simpsons fanboys are definitely the worse.

As for me, I can barely stand anything after S9 (and even that I find difficult to watch save for a few episodes, which were already mentioned, like The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson and Lisa the Simpson).

Be sure to watch The Principal and the Pauper, Saddlesore Galactica and Missionary: Impossible if you are feeling kinda masochist.

I don't think Principle and the Pauper is bad at all, it just set a bad precedent for the writers' approach to canon and consistency and stuff.

It's become funnier in retrospect too, given it totally syncs up with Don Draper's backstory in Mad Men.
