After living in Japan for a few years, I became acustomed to drinking several cups of the stuff on the daily. I also learned about the crazy number of varietes at the tea shops there.
I'm now addicted to the stuff and drink it both hot throughout the year and cold brew it in summer.
Thankfully in the UK, I found an shop (Imperial Teas) that stocks pretty much every variety out there which is how I get it now.
My favs:
Japan - ceremonial grade matcha (both bitter and sweet with coconut milk), sencha and genmaicha
Taiwan - mountain gaba oolong
China - Huanshuan silver spring tea
Any gaffers here appreciate the stuff as much as me and if so, what are your favs?
