Man they totally nailed Larfleeze's character in this ep! My fav. ep. so far. Looking forward to the climatic battle.

Yup. The Book of the Black was in her quarters!

It would've been glorious.

Season 3 - The main antagonist is the Sinestro Corp, with the Myth of the Blackest Night being explained/investigated in the background. The season finale ends on a cliffhanger.

Season 4 - The Blackest Night. During season 3, several semi big characters died, thus giving you the Black Lantern Corp.

Am catching up on the show I have to say the episode with crew trapped on a hostile planet with no lantern power was Amazing and genius.

It was fantastic seeing the crew interact with each other without being able to communicate with each other but still trying to get through it.

the way it was handled was perfect and didn't even resort to a any corny moments.

Why hasn't Aya been introduced into the comic verse?

They've been too busy with the New 52 reboot and wrapping up Geoff Johns's long-running Green Lantern run. I wouldn't expect to see Aya, if at all, for another year or two at least.

That already happened.
Both the Interceptor and Aya were introduced in the comics, although Aya was just the ship's AI because she was just that in the series too at that moment, and they used the Interceptor backwards with the tail being the cockpit.
But if I remember correctly both were destroyed in the same issue or the next one I think.

Today's episode was great, now I wonder how Hal and the others will return to OA (or maybe they are not that far?) and if they are going to tell the council about scar and what she did.

I'm really angry that CN didn't renew this show and even more after knowing that it will apparently end with a cliffhanger.

I really wish this show would be picked up again. I am anticipating it more than YJ yet CN/Warner decided to break my heart :(

feels like the show is doing a much better job at wrapping things up compared to YJ which seems to be kind of a mess right now

Bruce Timm, like many of us, was disappointed with Cartoon Network’s decision to not pick-up Green Lantern the Animated Series for second season since he said it was one the best things he’s ever worked on, and considering his career, that’s saying something. Anyway, I asked if it really came to down to the lack of merchandising sales, as Bleeding Cool had previously reported regarding Young Justice. He said yes. Since the Ryan Reynolds’ film, retailers were stuck with film merchandise that just wasn’t selling. This lead to those retailers being very reluctant, if not downright refusing, to any carry merchandise from the Animated Series. Therefore, a lack of sales on that front lead to a lack revenue for an admittedly expensive CG Series.

Sad to see the lasting ramifications of a bad movie
actually I think despite the movie, Mattel's horrible Green Lantern merchandise was even worse.

VS
For the same price.

its pretty much the same of all their lines
Infinite Heroes = Bad = Cancelled
Green Lantern = Fail
Young Justice = Fail = Cancelled
Dark Knight Rises = Bad = Batman, it would sell even if it was toilet paper.

also GL had even more retarded color variations than Batman.
WHY?
Why does Mattel bother with crap like this and why does WB/DC continue to let them do this.
especially now with DC Direct doing their own figures that are in competition and better than Mattel

It's all Mattels fault. They release garbage to ducking awful toys. Get with the times. And there "attempt" to revive the YJ towline through Matty Collector was pathetic. Fifty bucks for two figures of the same quality as those GL ones of Superboy and Ms Martian, two characters that already had toys and not season 2 debuting characters. You can make money of shows without toy lines as well.

Weird, I thought they went with CGI for the sole reason of keeping costs down. But yeah, unlike Young Justice, GL had that terrible movie dooming the ANimated Series from the start. It's just like the recent F4 series. Timm should really just quit and find a place over at Marvel, they could actually use a guy like him over there.
Jeph Loeb is running that shit into the ground already brah.

At least Disney is giving their Marvel shows a fighting chance despite their current offerings being so critically panned.

You mean like the chance they gave the two critically acclaimed shows they cancelled to make way for the offerings that are currently critically panned?

I specified Marvel shows for a reason ;-)

In all fairness, Disney XD has the huge disadvantage of being a less accessible channel than CN. Tron I think had the problem of being way too expensive to maintain with Motorcity being a touch too gritty for their target audience so they probably want to play it somewhat safe by focusing on their Marvel properties which, despite quality issues, are sure to bring in viewers.

It's conjecture on my part, but if you can have someone like Timm join Marvel, we can have the best of both worlds, and we can have a good Marvel show that isn't canceled for such an asinine reason as merchandise.

He was talking about Spectacular Spider-Man & Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

He was talking about Spectacular Spider-Man & Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

Well if that was the case you're talking about something completely different than CN and their shows.

Spectacular was "sacrificed" in order for Marvel to get the TV rights to Spider-man back, Avengers wasn't necessarily canceled in the typical manner, it was a shuffle of staff members with people like Joshua Fine leaving, Craig Kyle being promoted to be part of the MCU team, and Yost going back to writing comics. I believe it was partly Loeb coming in, with his own plans, and partly the success of the Avengers movie where they wanted to retool the series to match the movie. Loeb and his crew still say Avengers Assemble is still based off EMH continuity, while most think it's complete BS made solely to shut us fans up, it's hard to say for sure until the series premieres. I imagine it'll be something akin to X-Men Evolution into Wolverine and the X-Men where Yost and Kyle said there's a very loose "character continuity" between shows.

I just realized that Aya can fit the Indigo Tribe... and that her current look sorta evokes a Black Lantern look.

Well excuse them for dealing with real world problems. I shed a tear everytime Tony deals with his alcoholism :'(

There's a difference between cynicism and just plain jerk-assery. I honestly prefer stories that kept "real world problems" as a sideline. But we're going off topic.

Man, this show.

I'm going to be so sad when its gone.

This so much. I showed it to a friend who is really into Young Justice and he fell in love with the animation, story and characters in the first episode. Then I told him it was cancelled as well and he said he hates me for introducing him to it jokingly haha.... ;_;

Loved this episode. Guy is great and I can't wait to see the finale! (Wonder if they planned for John Stewart to show up in the next season before the show's cancellation)

Waiting for the DVD of the next season to watch these newer episodes. I hope they put them all in one pack otherwise I'll just buy both volumes.

The episode was great, Guy was awesome too bad he wasn't in more episodes and Chaselon was funny too.
From the moment scar explained the Antimonitor and that he was capable of traveling through time I always had the theory that Aya would use that ability for her plans and seems I was right, now to complete my theory
Aya needs to go back to normal and decide to use time travel and save Razer's wife so he never becomes a red lantern and they never meet eachother or something like that.

Wonder if they planned for John Stewart to show up in the next season before the show's cancellation
I remember that Giancarlo Volpe mentioned that he had plans for both John Stewart and Kyle Ryner but that he needed more time, too bad he won't get that time.
And after seeing this picture I think it confirms they had plans for John and other things.

Even though it was just a robot head... the way Aya-Monitor dealth with the anti-monitor was brutal. She almost got an "eyescream" from me and the anti-monitor doesn't even have eyes.

The green lantern movie may bombed but it wasn't that bad just eh it's certainly wasn't superman returns bad.

How many episode left of green lantern?

Now I wonder how come flash never had his own animated cartoon or animated movie?

Man...

Fuck Jeph Loeb.

Fuck Jeph Loeb for cancelling Avengers Earths mightiest heroes and kicking the Fantastic team off the project Half way through season 2 to replace them with his lackeys.
