It sucks that two great shows by two great creators are both getting shit-canned. The best we can probably ever hope for as far as continuation are a DTV or two. I feel especially bad about YJ: Weisman can't seem to work on a show without it getting screwed over somehow.

I wonder what Timm and Weisman will work on next when all is said and done?

Yeah it was that bad

Seconded. I gave it a chance solely from this show and is nowhere in the same league.

John Stewart? The fake news guy? - easily best line of the episode.

Wish Guy was a regular on this show. He's the best Lantern.

Wow. I had completely missed it. I just passed it off as since kind of comic reference. Somehow I didn't realize they made an actual jab at the Daily Show.

The episode was great, Guy was awesome too bad he wasn't in more episodes and Chaselon was funny too.
From the moment scar explained the Antimonitor and that he was capable of traveling through time I always had the theory that Aya would use that ability for her plans and seems I was right, now to complete my theory
Aya needs to go back to normal and decide to use time travel and save Razer's wife so he never becomes a red lantern and they never meet eachother or something like that.

That would screw a lot of things up. (Surprisingly not as much as I initially thought after I finished writing this.)

Who knows how it would affect the Red Lantern corp but let's just assume someone steps in filling in for Razor but is like all the other Red Lantern's instead of conflicted.

Without Razor around they wouldn't have stormed the space fortress and acquired the Red Lantern's plans and current strength levels.

Without Razer it is highly unlikely they would've gone to that Spider prison where Aya found out that Green Lantern archeologist was detained. The only way for that to happen is if they capture the person who replaces Razer.

Without Razer Kilowag had an even higher chance of dying on one occasion. Even if he didn't...

Without Razer they would've lost Aya during the invasion of Oa.

Without Aya the Anti-monitor would be wrecking even more of the galaxy before it is stopped...if it can be stopped.

So yeah not only would that move be the equivalent of signing your own death warrant, that contract would have a clause to screw over at least an entire galaxy, if not the universe.

I'm someone who enjoys a good love plot but I can fully understand why some people aren't digging this storyline.

I started watching this show with season 2 first and over this weekend I got around to watching season 1 and overall it is definitely superior to this season. How they are putting things together in this Anti-monitor in Aya-Monitor arc just doesn't flow as well as the Red Lantern Corp did.

the only thing I don't like is that this whole thing happened because of Razor being a ridiculous dumbass about Aya, in literally every conceivable way.

Yeah especially since he's been back and forth with his feelings since the end of Season 1. I do admit, this last arc has dragged quite a bit, I'm itching for a conclusion already (despite knowing the show is about to end)

Prototypes for figures of the series they never even attempted to release.
They went through all the trouble to develop them only to say they would not support the series right before it came out.

Ah, for a moment I thought it was the toys themselves.

Man, fuck this industry.

Damn what an incredible ending! Really hurts that there won't be a continuation, especially with the cliffhanger that
Razor will become a Blue Lantern.

The feels man. :(

I don't know that it was a cliffhanger as much as a symbol of Razor's hope.

Found these today.

Just makes me angry and reminds me how incompetent the higher ups are all the way around.

I wouldn't say they were incompetent, from what was said before it seemed like stores actively refused to stock any more Green Lantern merchandise. Maybe they could have done a DC Direct toy line, but that probably wouldn't have brought in amount of merchandising dollars that the show needed to keep going.

I liked the ending. I feel like "redemption + sacrifice" for Aya was put together a bit hastily, but the bit with Razer flying off and roaming the universe, presumably as a Blue Lantern, really fits. The show started with him, so showing how his relationship with Hal and Kilowog, and the universe in general, changed was the best ending possible, I think.

Like I have said before, even if the movie was worse
if Mattel's toys were remotely comparative to Hasbro's they would have done fine
instead they sell McDonald's toys at deluxe prices(Infinite Heroes, Young Justice, TDKR, GL,and now Superman).

Great ending, now im even more upset.

It's very cool that Razer has grown so much as a character but I can't help but feel that even if we got four more seasons he wouldn't have been able to find Aya's essence and bring her back.

If you've read The Blackest Night, you would now how Aya would've been brought back.

She would become a Black Lantern, and in the end Razor probably would've become the first White Lantern, ending the Black Lantern threat and bring back Aya.

Razor is such a good character he reminds me of Dinobot from Beast Wars. Sigh the ending was bittersweet.
Razor roaming the galaxy looking for Aya.

That said the Guardians are great at making potentially evil robots that can destroy the galaxy.

DC....replacing a show of this calibur with the shit like teen Titans go... I hope DC nation fails

I wasn't able to download over network yesterday. Listening right now.

EDIT: It was really great. He talk about stuff we already knew, show died from lack of toy sales yada yada. He explained the reason why the Anti monitor's origin was simplified. 1) to make easy enough for a 12 year old to understand. 2) The show budget only allowed for a very limited number of characters ( he noted the absence of Dex-Starr and other corp members) so the Monitor and the multiverse bits weren't included. Volpe also expressed appreciation of fan support.

Don't blame DC. They have very little to do with what goes on at WB Animation.
This isn't even WB Animation's fault, since they tried their best with these shows.

At fault is WB Entertainment, for releasing a poor movie that poisoned the GL franchise for years to come, which directly led to poor sales of Mattel's movie toyline.
At fault is Cartoon Network, who has gone out of their way to mess with the ratings of non-CN shows.
Mattel is also at fault, because they have a hard time selling shitastic toys that even kids don't want.

This is basically a completed toy. The only thing missing is paint.
Mattel has been producing toys of this quality for over a decade, yet regardless of how poorly they've sold, they still can't learn from their failures. Mattel is directly responsible for Young Justice being canceled, because of their failed YJ toylines.

Also, I'm not really going to miss this show. While it was a fun series, i'd like to see better efforts from WB Animation. Hopefully that rumored Justice League series turns out to be real. Or maybe a Plastic Man series, which was killed off for whatever reason.

I’m so angry right now, I still can’t believe that there won’t be more GLTAS, this show was awesome in so many aspects that it will be hard to find or make something similar. I hate CN for not giving it a second chance.

I liked the ending and I’m not going to lie I started to tear up a little when
Aya died
, but I always knew that something like that would happen to Aya or Razer because they were created specifically for this show, so they could do whatever they wanted with them.

The only thing that I would change is Razer
leaving to find Aya, he should accept the reality and instead I don’t know, try to help rebuild his planet or something?
Sometimes I see the Blue Lanterns as a bunch of deluded people so it was fitting that they implied that Razer became one. Aya was part machine and part living being, without the machine part the living part just died.

Now I'll just look forward to Mr. Volpe's next project, I read that there is a possibility of a new DC one, right?

and yet, theyre still breaking bread with them, and cancelling shows on sheer basis of poor toy sales. someone needs to take responsibility for this if thats the case.

One thing this series has done for me is make me want to check out other GL stuff. Got a lot of stuff to check out from the library the next few weeks.

They aren't going to take responsibility for it brah. I fear for Beware The Batmans toy line if it indeed comes to fruition.

why stop there? all show are fucked regardless of viewership or quality based solely on poor or nonexistant toy sales. if the toy sales are going to damn a show, why even bother giving a damn in the first place?
