It's still $7.50 @ the Square Enix store (http://store.na.square-enix.com). I know people like the idea of a complete pack, but the base game is pretty complete on it's own.
Im trying to buy the total war collection through paypal and I keep getting this error when Im almost done checking out

edit2: Figured it out, It was not accepting the order because I'm ordering from Puerto Rico and when it detected the IP it didnt allow the order to go through. I went through Chrome the second time clearing all data and tethering through my Sprint phone and it worked like a charm.

This sounds like the next best deal. Unfortunatley, I'm not really interested in L.A.N though past the tech they used.

Isn't there a way to view pre-orders with GMG? I've checked the site (admittedly after a few shots of whiskey) and I can't see shit on their site.
Login, click on your username and select "Your Games". It will take you to a list of all your games, including preorders. There, you can download and get your keys.

No. They said one would involve songbird, but not that it would be the first.
Stuttering? I played the entire game on Hard and didn't encounter stuttering one time.

Lower your texture setting. It sucks to have to do that, I know, it feels like my 660ti's 2GB VRAM is going to waste, but I will not punish Irrational for this issue. It's an otherwise superb game.
That doesn't fix it. At all.
Trust me, both hlhbk and myself (and even Maldo, who did the Crysis 2 texture pack) have been active on the 2K forums. If I can crank the detail down to 720P with *minimum* settings and still have problems (as others do), then it's safe to say graphics settings don't do shit.
Use D3D overrider to fix the stuttering. It worked for me. It still pauses once very briefly during a levelto load but the micro-stutter completely disappeared for me.
Setting Triple buffering through the game or Nvidia control panel doesn't work, you need to force it through D3D to make it click.
This is all assuming that you're getting stuttering with V-sync enabled (I never had any when I turned it off but I hated the tearing).

Crap, so sorry... completely missed this post! You can get it here. Note that it says it's a "patch" and not necessarily an ENB-type thing to improve visuals, so don't expect a bucketload out of it. I can't remember if it made my game work better or not... I think I just put it in there before I even bothered trying!
Be a good idea to make sure you have that first (and only) official (beta) patch for the game as well (if it doesn't already come with it). I think that fixed up a stack of problems as well.
This is the problem we're talking about! The stuttering that's constant during the game can be fixed by tinkering with settings. The load points are exactly the things which people are unable to avoid. The only time it's at it's least noticeable is when the user has the framerate locked at 30 (because there's only a drop of a few FPS, compared to about 50% that other people experience).
You didn't get something like this at 0:48s? Not trying to call you out, but I find that VERY hard to believe. If you can't see the drop in that vid, observe the framerate. The guy's running at 640x480 at the lowest detail, yet it still drops to less than 30. If you're not having that problem, I'd love to know your config and tweaks to get it running that well.
I do get that kind of stuttering. But that is still far better than the severe stuttering I was getting before with my textures at high/ultra which made the game unplayable.
I didn't consider that kind of stuttering in your video an issue. I guess I'm just used to it since lots of WRPGs on PC have that kind of stuttering. And it's not like BI is a competitive shooter.

You know that's the level loading right? Not stuttering in the traditional sense. It's better than looking at a loading screen.
Stuttering in any sense is when the game drops frames, regardless of what it's doing.
And you'd rather have that 70-80% framerate drop every 3-4 minutes than a slightly longer loading screen? Crikey. Give me the loading screen any day.
