Green Man Gaming Thread: Save some green, man

I was mulling over getting Sleeping Dogs for $33 (with PCGMR-ALLIN-GREEN 20% off coupon). However, I got too many games to play right now and might have to wait for the inevitable Steam sale.
 
Looks like PCGMR-ALLIN-GREEN is only good for one purchase. Maybe it will work if you register a new account each time.

Oh well, I picked up Dark Souls.
 
hmm i just got Sleeping dogs and Darksiders 2 with the coupons but when i finished hte card payments I a message saying there was an error processing and my card would not be charged.

But then I got an email with an order ID and now me credit on the account is gone.

Did the transaction go through?
Will iget steam activation keys?

Click on My Games and if the games are listed there then you're ok.
 
Cheers for that PCGMR-ALLIN-GREEN code, just used it to reorder Sleeping Dogs digital making sure I selected Limited Edition this time, and requested a refund on my physical copy (They offered it before when I asked about changing orders).
 
While thats an awesome price, GMG are starting to slightly do my head in on preorder discounts. This is what, the 5th price it's had, and its not even out yet? I got it with 20% off yesterday, which is a small enough price difference to not be bothered, but I can imagine anyone who ordered at full price are likely seething, as getting a refund isn't exactly an easy process. GMG either need to offer quick refunds, or some form of pre-order price promise or they'll start getting people holding off on orders for "a better offer".

A game is now cheaper than when I purchased it, can I get a refund?

From time to time you may just miss out on a GMG deal, in those circumstances.

If the game you have purchased is a pre-purchase you are entitled to a refund, but there is no guarantee that any sale or discount will still be valid once this has gone through.

My graphics card temperature rises to 90 degrees Celsius while gaming (the heat sink fan broke and I wedged a CPU fan on top of it). I haven't gamed on this PC since early June...should I still buy Sleeping Dogs? I don't have $$ for a new card ATM or a heatsink replacement :/

The game worked out cheaper with the 25% off code. Only by around 50p though. That's less than a dollar but it's odd that its more expensive with the 30% off.
 
Will Dark Souls go on sale any more on GMG or will using the 20% coupon now be the best deal?

The PCGMR-ALLIN-GREEN code only works once? Is there a different 25% coupon for Borderlands 2?

There's an item called "Sleeping Dogs Demo" in the Steam database, so if you dont care about the pre-order bonuses you could wait for that and see how it runs. Pretty certain GMG will keep running deals of at least 20% after the game comes out.

The "30%" code is ~30% total, while the 25% one is applied on top of the 10% pre-order discount.
 
Getting Borderlands and Darksiders for 37$ each is pretty amazing.

I'm not sure how they are still in business with crazy prices like these. :|

Was reluctant to make a new account and have games linked to yet another account to manage, but Dark Souls for $30 and Borderlands 2 for $37 sold me.

These coupon pre-order deals are so hot! Best part is those games are Steam serial keys so I don't have to log into GMG again to play them.
 
Definitely something funny about getting "Order Not Complete" errors while trying to use the ORDER-NTCOM-PLETE voucher. Oh well, perhaps Sleeping Dogs is just not to be for me.

Are you ordering with a credit card directly or through paypal? I use paypal and change the payment source to my credit card. I've preordered GW2, Sleeping Dogs, Darksiders 2, Borderlands 2, bought Darksiders 1 and Warhammer 40k Spacemarine from them and have had issues.

Directly to a credit card. I refuse to use PayPal for anything for a variety of reasons.
 
So, did GMG remove Sleeping Dogs for US IPs? Finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase it since DSII didn't hit as hard thanks to the price with the 25% off but all it does is take me to a 404 error page now.

I just ended up contacting origin support. Now apparently I'll have to do the same to get Bring Down the Sky...
 
Was just checking to make sure GAF was privy to the ORDER-NTCOM-PLETE 25% off coupon, but my services are not needed so here is a bump.

I've been planning to hold off on BL2 and just pick it up on sale down the road, but 37 bucks is really tempting.
 
As stated before, all I wanted was a cheap Dark Souls PC because I'm currently balls deep in the 360 version (lvl 44 Thief).

Got dark souls for 27 bucks, followed abruptly by a 30 dollar Darksiders 2 Limited, then a 35 dollar Borderlands 2 Limited. All because of these insane deals!

-all steam activated by the way

Highly recommend everyone who likes saving money to check this place out!
