EDIT: GMG25-CZPYL-D5MQ6 (25%) will be expiring friday. The one use survey code shouldn't.

I'm sure bro, on Facebook the people of GMG said that it will expire this friday![]()
X360ce (Xbox 360 controller emulator) kinda works, It's a cunt to get up and running though.
If you've tried using x360ce, you have to put the DLLs it's bundled with into the game folder as well. It took me ages to work that out!Yea, that's my problem. I can get the program to recognize the controller, but the game won't. I've put it in the proper library as well, I think.
I just picked up Tomb Raider using that 25% code, and got it for $33. Since it's not out yet, I just have the voucher code here on GMG, which doesn't work on Steam. At least not yet.
Troubling is that listed next to the code is "valid until: 2013-01-04." Now, is this the typical European style of date, where it goes day/month rather than month/day like here in the land of freedom? If so, then cool, that means April 1st, after the game comes out, and after I'll have already claimed it. But if not, then it's January 4th, and why the fuck would my code for a game that comes out in March expire in January?! It's April 1st, right?
You should have used the 35 % survey voucher instead of the 25 %.
Your allotted voucher is limited to according to GMG "As soon as you receive it you will have 21 days to redeem it."
If I pre-ordered Tomb Raider before the promotion, do you think GMG will update my order with it if I asked nicely?

The 35% code that you get works on the Greenman gaming website, not Steam.
Tomb Raider is not out yet when the game comes out you will get a Steam CD key for that game which you then add.
Uhh... I bought it on Green Man Gaming. You seem to have misunderstood me.
I bought Tomb Raider from Green Man Gaming, using the 25% coupon code listed in this thread. Not steam, steam's not involved at all until later. I went to greenmangaming.com and used my greenmangaming.com account to purchase Tomb Raider using a coupon code.
They then added it to my account, where it's listed under both the Games tab and the Key tab, and listed next to it is a 15-digit key (XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX format), which I assume is a key to activate my purchase on Steam, seeing as it is a Steamworks games that requires Steam. Tomb Raider is also listed on the Steam store for pre-purchase, which leads me to believe that since it is possible to purchase through Steam, then the key they gave me should also activate a pre-purchase on steam.
It does not.
My concern is whether or not it's supposed to, since the key was purchased through a different party than the platform holder, and the game isn't out for several months. I am further concerned because my key appears to have an expiration date of 2013-01-04, and I'm unsure of whether or not this is January 4th, or April 1st.
Does that all make sense? I'm not trying to use a Green Man Gaming coupon code to buy something through Steam. Because that would be retarded.
My tomb raider code still isn't unlocking the game in my steam list- so is it in fact not usable until release? I really don't want this code to expire on January 4th, when it was never usable in the first place.
Though, interesting note... I don't think I was charged for Tomb Raider. I checked out and made it through the Chase verification and everything, and it emailed me my receipt and notification, as well as put the game in my account's list under both Games and Keys. But then a quick glance at my bank account reveals neither an existing charge nor a pending charge from Green Man Gaming or anything at the price it was after I used the $25 code. Odd... could that be why my code doesn't work?
Are you sure that the key you got is Tomb Raider and not the 35% coupon?
I don't think you'll get the real steam key yet until you're very near the release of the game. It always work that way.
So relax, the real steam key won't expire.
Are you sure that the key you got is Tomb Raider and not the 35% coupon?
And this dude could be right. What you think is the Tomb Raider key is actually the code for the 35% coupon.
Damn. Should have pre ordered Tomb Raider while the 25% off coupon was valid.
I don't like these cash back/credit offers. They are worse deals than using a coupon.
I was about to just tell you two how stupid you were, until I decided I should probably punch that code into a basket item and see if it worked, and lo and behold, it knocked X-Com down from $50 to $32.50.
So, I guess I'm the stupid one. I'll patiently await my Tomb Raider code until March.
Also, what the hell should buy with this 35% off? X-Com is the only game this year I wanted and didn't buy. Just picked up Borderlands 2 from Gamefly's sale for $30...
EDIT: Just tried to use it on BioShock Infinite pre-purchase and it won't let me because they offer the infinitely worse $7.00 cash back on a pre-order. Weak.
Also, does anyone have any idea whether 2013-01-04 is Jan. 4th, or April 1st? Someone earlier mentioned that vouchers expire 21 days after purchase, so Jan 4th might make sense, but GMG is a British site, and those crazy fuckers write their dates with the day first and the month second. Crazy crazy Brits.

Are there any voucher codes that stack with the Guild Wars 2 discount? I couldn't find one.
At 30% discount, doesn't sound like a good deal; normally it's at 18% stackable with the "common" 25% voucher or the one-time 35% (if it's still valid?)
Dishonored is now $30:

The 25% code is out (don't think it stacks anyway), maybe they'll do a new one for next week.
I'd say yes (provided you can pull off that trade and GMG purchase).Quick question about Dishonored - I have the game on 360 but have only played the opening, with my PC setup I will be using a 360 controller anyway for this game. Is it worth (Considering I can sell the 360 game for £15, and buy it off GMG for PC for £15) playing on PC instead? For improved performance and graphics? Even though I will be using a 360 controller.
Thanks!
I'd say yes (provided you can pull off that trade and GMG purchase).
The game looks gorgeous on a PC, high settings with 60fps.
I played it on the highest settings (in game only, nothing 3rd party), at 1680x1050@60fps. Core 2 Duo E6600 OC to 3.2GHz, 8GB RAM and Radeon 7950 2GB.
Enjoy it!
It's essentially an Unreal Engine 3 game so go with the top->bottom approach.Cheers mate! Sounds like a good idea. My specs are a bit worse than yours (CPU is a Q6600 at 3.0ghz, but only 4GB of RAM and a 6870 AMD 1GB) but I run at a lower resolution so should be fine!
My credit card doesn't work either. I just use paypal.
DMC 4 for 2,38 / $4.36.
Use voucher GMG30-DPLIM-DN831. Activates on Steam.
approx 66/33% off from the current Steam Sale price. Europe got lucky this time.
