I liken it to the deal with that Jessica chick in the war. Her squad takes a wrong turn, gets captured, and she gets rescued and all of a sudden she's a hero. Too many fucking bleeding hearts in the country.

Sucks that you got beat up/tortured, but you take that risk when you join the military and get sent into a combat zone. I respect our men and women doing their duty over there, but when their sacrifices get overshadowed by some chick with her 15 minutes of fame I get pissed off.

As many people have suggested, her ratings show exactly why cable news obsessively covers these non-stories. Which is fine I guess, because you don't need to watch their (or anyone's) primetime shows, but I wish the daily news compensated by having a much broader scope...
