  • PSSR 2 or thier own upscaler will enable a 60fps mode(that runs in the 50s most of the time)

  • Performance mode in the 40s and Xbox is best because of the 40 vs 48 fps vrr differance LOL

The best part is going to be when it's released on PC and people expect it to be 60 at max detail (the consoles is like min) on their potato.

ItS uE5 gArBaGe!!!!!

Gonna be awesome.

I think it will likely be a 40fps mode on the pro.

But they may do like a 1080p upscaled no RT mode as well.

Problem is going to be CPU as others have said but the game might not have that many systems in general play so might be able to handle it.

Let me tell you a story, OP.
When it comes to CPU there is no difference between PS5 and Pro. They skipped the whole gen with GTA, now they are building it around that 2019 CPU and use CPU heavy RT effects as well.

PS3 level fidelity - runs 60FPS no problem on PS5
PS5 level fidelity - low chance of it running in 60fps on that CPU while still looking like the trailer

Wanna avatar bet? You look like you like Boji and I sure love my Raziel pic. What do you say?

I'm looking forward to finally decide this.

4k 120fps

Nobody cares about the Series S. Devs were even asking to drop support before when it had a higher marketshare. The problem of 30 vs 60 fps isn't going to be the determined by the Series S though. "That's not how game dev operates". It will be 30fps on Series S but might get a 60fps mode on PS5 Pro depending on other factors/choices (like CPU usage).
PS5 pro is likely even worse seller than Series S dude.

Its being made for Series S.

Chances are high for 60 fps.

Though I recently finished RDR2. If it plays like that, 30 fps is fine. If its stable with low input lag.
This would only really be true if the game is more GPU bound. If it's a CPU thing (thinking of all the various simulations taking place) then I don't think it will hit 60fps. I'm hopeful, but want to remain realistic.

Pro:
1820p/30fps
1440p/40fps
1120p/60fps

BAse
1620p/30fps
1120p/40fps
890p/60fps

PC gamers dont tell you what internal resolution is and act like the real res is the one informed on display so who cares.

Edit: much better Ray tracing on the Pro and PSSR2 effect

It's the exact opposite. People on PC almost always mention when they're running upscaling and the level. Why make shit up?

Sure but the Pro is more powerful than the PS5/XSX. At worst it would just run the PS5 version without enhancements. Not sure what you're trying to say there. Plus the pro users are the enthusiasts who buy the latest greatest games more than your average casual.

It is Rockstar, not chinese or other western studios who cant optimize for shit

Literal bullshit. Even benchmarks always say the level of upscaling. You won't see a single credible source pretend that output=input because 4K Performance can look very different from 4K native.
And PC gamers will play at 0p and 0fps on the official release date UNFORTUNETELY
Oh, no, GTA 6 is delayed on PC. What are we gonna do? Did you come up with that retort yourself?

I don't think R* will not provide multi-performance profiles, which need more QA and extra optimizations, IMO,

  • PS5 and xbox series x: DRS 4k(TAA upscaling from ~1052p) 30fps + some rtgi,
  • PS5 Pro: DRS 4k (PSSR2 from 1080p or 864p, the lowerest render resolution PSSR2 support) 40fps, better raytracing-related visuals
  • XSS 1080p30fps, upscaling from 540p, very low quality raytrcing, lower LOD, lower texture quality and lower special effects.
Why there is xbox series x is best in the option, it will be 30fps outside PS5 pro. Also the 60 fps more like a next-gen or PC launch profile

They have released just two trailers, mostly focused on cutscenes and people have already decided there is no way they can make a 60fps mode viable?

The Crimson Desert developers have made a cpu heavy open world game, on the Pro they're using the high frequency CPU mode and they have a 60fps mode.
Only 30fps on the Pro would be disappointing unless future trailers show never seen before things which so far they haven't?

If it ends up having an actual 60 FPS mode I'll probably buy a PS5 Pro. I just find it very unlikely. I don't even think Rockstar cares as their 30 fps always feels really smooth and hasn't been an issue in past releases.

Don't forget Rockstar managed to get RDR2 to run at a native 4K on the Xbox One. Hell, don't forget RDR2 is a PS4-era game that still looks better than most games today.

I don't rule out a 60fps mode at all on consoles.
