As much as I would like to see this, that's far too optimistic. The userbase is just not that big. Though I would gladly be wrong if PSP expands greatly to support such numbers.
It's funny, I have not really seen this game get hyped like its past incarnations. Then again, I have not watched any T.V. in a while, and I dont really have alot of friends that play games, and the ones that do are not really into games. Personally, I think it will sell very well. But I dont think this is the savior of the PSP. You guys have to remember, the mobile market is not the same as the console market. They are two VERY different beast.
Actual prediction for my GTA: LCS experience.
"Hey,you gotta get down to Vinnie Carducci's place by the docks and pick up..." X, X, X, X.
Oh fuck, a moped. Sweet. This handles like...oh fuck a truck.
This truck is boring. Oh fuck I wonder if I can go up on that building. Fuck what's that down there? A Lambo kinda. Oh fuck a hang glider.
And so on.
I've spent dozens of hours playing all the GTA games and I get ADD in all of them and never complete the missions. And I don't care either. Giant sandbox for the win!

Nothing, and its also not right to compare them. You could get the same version of Madden on a console a month before the PSP release, you can't get LCS on a console.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. While it might be a good GTA, I've already got three on my consoles and a DS for portable fun on my 40 min daily commute. If there were just a couple more great titles I could really see myself getting a PSP, but it just ain't enough at this point. Oh well, I've haven't even touched The Warriors, Fire Emblem or SoTC yet, and I'm still getting Civillization 4 (aka virtual crack) and PES 5 very soon...
As much as I hate anecdotal evidence... today I was around a group of friends, commercial for LCS comes on, everyone's like "holy moly new gta oh boy," then "oh, psp, sigh." SO GUARANTEED BOMB GUYS TOTALLY.
But, I still expect the game to be fab and the sales to be extraordinary. And it will definitely move systems this christmas. It's a GTA game, and in the US, and on that really big MP3 player that plays this portable "Are We There Yet?" I've got. Does even talking about the DS matter? I like the DS more than the PSP, but I shant be carrying my DS around after LCS comes out.
And, oh mah guh, it doesn't work with fastloader, if only there was a way for people to update programs and post them on the internet after things that render previously available programs come out, like what happened with Winning Eleven 9. I mean, I'M JUST SAYIN', but... I wouldn't be too hasty to throw away homebrew with just that. And, also, I wish it was smaller so I could play it on a memory stick and assuredly save hours in battery time.
I also forsee LCS to be the number 1 corrupter of piratees memory sticks. Another plus, go LCS!

Like Link1110 said I'm still waiting to see Tengai Makyo:The Apocalypse 4 - the original one on Saturn was excellent... Don't see how this is any different from its console bretheren, which I didn't care for. Not to mention, hearing how it actually has *WORSE* controls than the console games (is that even possible), and I'm staying far away... still interested in seeing what songs will be on some of the in game radio stations, though.

I've heard this slagged off by quite a few in the office who've played it but not for very long. Mainly they hate the controls and the analogue nipple is a fucker to control the driving with.
