Guys, I am so excited! Can't believe it's a little over a week away. Game is going to be epic, and I almost feel bad for all the people who aren't going to enjoy this like I will. haha

Yep. Definately annoying in MP3. I guess I don't fully understand why they split them in the first place.

I remember reading somewhere that there are no longer any loading screens for missions. Remember the standard fade to black with the mission title shown at the bottom corner? I think it might of been CVG that said that you walk to a mission and camera seamlessly pans in to the cinematic. After that the camera pans back to the default in-game camera angle, similar to Max Payne 3.
Damn....I hope that is true.
I wouldn't doubt it, if you notice at the end of the Franklin trailer it does pretty much the same thing as that MP3 gif.

I feel like CoD is losing steam! GTAV is a cultural phenomenon, unlike CoD, consumers don't have last year's edition to fall back on if they dont feel like getting it. I feel it!

I can't imagine the average COD gamer not picking up Grand Theft Auto V. In addition to all the people who love the series.
I'm really rooting for GTA V to break all video game records, like GTA IV did. If it isn't able to topple the records set by COD, then it doesn't send the greatest message to Take-Two and their stock holders. "Call of Duty is a franchise that sells more, costs less, and does so every year".
Come on, GTA, you can do it.
the thing that sucked about max payne 3's unskippable cut scenes was that it really made a second playthrough that much more of hassle. like, i don't want to watch a 3 minute cut scene i already know what's going to happen.
the one good thing about GTA is that the game is open world, so an unskippable cutscene can be few are far between depending on how you follow the story.

Wouldn't the Max Payne 3 cinematic route result in a ton of FMV that would eat up huge amount of disc space? I just can't imagine that's the case considering the game is only 18GB on the PS3.
I don't know man. If the GTA has been in development for five years with ancient hardware in mind I think it'll turn out alright.

I wonder if Rockstar are going to be copyright trolls AFTER release and prevent anyone uploading any sort of gameplay or LP videos. I remember with GTA IV they didn't let people post anything until 2-3 years after release without shitting their pants and taking it down nearly instantly.

I think that LP's were not as accepted as they are today. Rockstar has let big channels re-upload and talk about the trailers so far, I can't see how gameplays would be any different.

No. Everything related to online with be in GTA Online on October 1st. You will not even be able to create a character till then. There will just be a blank slot on the ingame character select that will display a countdown to the 1st.

TLOU had issues downloading when it first went live. The servers are gonna get hammered when GTA goes up.

This year is a big year for CoD as Activision is going to find out if Black Ops 2's decline was a fluke or a sign that the series has finally hit a wall. But even if things go back up I wouldn't expect it to beat GTAV. That's 5 years of anticipation being topped off. I expect GTA to re-establish itself as the biggest series in gaming just as San Andreas did at the end of last gen.

I only play campaigns one time, it won't bother me much to be honest.
I had to order the Kingdom Hearts collection just to give me something to occupy my mind and make the time go faster for the next week :lol

On the topic of ammunition count: I would like to be able to carry more than 8 RPG rounds.

I remember when you had a Dishonored avatar and it took me a couple of weeks to realise it was you.

That's exactly why I changed it back. No one was recognizing it was me even though my posts weren't really changing lol.
I would have eventually changed it back anyway since Dishonored ended up not being very good. I felt really guilty about that too since for a long time before it came out I was one of the only people on here constantly hyping it, back when most people were still ignoring the game.

That, and knowing the US PS Store's usual update time of "whenever", the east cost probably won't be able to download it untill maybe 6-7 PM. Then on top of that, it'll probably take an eternity to download/install.

I hope the gunplay will have the same physicality that Max Payne 3 had. Heard it has the same roll/prone system but it'd be nice to have similar hit reactions and wonderful animations. Although I don't know if it'll be quite as gory.

Yea I'm sure it's going to be some problems. I had problems downloading PASBR when it released digitally. It'll update at LOL o clock.
My cousin PS3's bluray drive decided to throw in the towel and I've tried to fix it and nothing worked. He's buying it from PSN and I don't think he's ready for the disappointment.
