As somebody who's never played a GTA game before (and is getting GTA V), I thought I'd give Vice City a go since I have it on Steam. I just got to the RC helicopter mission, my word, who thought this was a good idea.

Is that the one where you have to fly it around the construction zone?

I think that one is an issue of PC controls making it far more difficult than it needs to be. It's pretty easy on consoles.

edit: In fact if my memory is correct that he had to release a patch for that mission when the game first came out on PC, because that mission was nearly impossible on PC.

His missions in general kind of suck compared to the brilliance of the rest of the game's missions.
 
I'm beginning to get really hyped now :[

Normally with open world games I don't like to rush through them, and instead take my time. I'll likely do that with V, but the lure of GTA Online releasing 2 weeks after is a huge incentive to get stuff done.

Rockstar are fucking geniuses.

Those RC Planes were a nightmare.

It was a really neat setup of the mission (miniature warfare) but it was pretty damn difficult.

Excited about Jets in V! Would've been cool to have David Cross do standup at Comedy Club in Los Santos!
 
First thing Im gonna do is find a TV and watch the newest episode of Republican Space Rangers.

Followed by stopping by a Tw@ shop or whatever the internet cafe equivalent is and checking out the sites.

Followed then by swimming out into the ocean and getting eaten by a giant shark.
 
Any progress get made on the map? I've been trying to avoid searching for too much info because of story spoilers, but these new screenshots are really highlighting the world variety.

Driving round dusty country roads :]

First thing I'm going to do is steal a bicycle and throw it off Mt. Chilliad.

It's actually the second to last. RC Plane one is the second. The last one involves using a small RC helicoptor to bomb/pick up debris from a war games match that him and Berkley have. I.. shouldn't know this but I do..

First thing I'm doing, is going on a nice cruise to tour the city and scope real estate, but I will need to find some way, not sure how, but I need a way to find a car to drive. hmm
 
QUestion about Kavinsky -- what actually drove that rumor? I remember it popping up like a year or two ago, and then everybody's just kind of assumed his stuff is in the game. What prompted that rumor?

Ya, you're right. It's really been 9 years since San Andreas came out... my memory is fuzzy. =D

No blame for trying to forget that mission. It was the first time I realized that, as a teenager, it might be a good idea to throw my controller against a wall.

Hated every moment of it.
 
You guys are really making me want to play san andreas on pc before 5 comes out but...no pad support and it likes to randomly crash to desktop for me, making me lose progress on all the missions I did in an hour or two of playing :(
