Not sure if Im a big fan of the idea of having the entire map unlocked from the start. Part of the reason i enjoyed the older GTA's is because I liked being contained in one environment for a certain period of time, allowing me to get to know that environment frontwards and backwards.

Now they're gonna open the floodgates and some players wont even have touched the main story missions for 10+ hours because they will be so distracted/overwhelmed by the abundance of freedom.

It's gonna take a striking amount of discipline to not get off the beaten path too much and focus on the story, but from the looks of it it's going to be damn near impossible.

ugh im getting mine tuesday, but holding off playing it till friday night (I have a feeling ill be up late when I play it).

Its gonna be hard with i sitting there mocking me for 3 days...

Indeed, on many of this stand up shows, even the old ones such as Delirious and Raw he showcases some real singing talent, usually when mocking Michael Jackson or some other pop star at the time

Never heard of that song, but enjoying it alot, thanks for posting it.
 
My work schedule for next week facilitates the maximum amount of gameplay experience possible. I work part time.

Next Tuesday I'll be going in early as fuck so I can get off at noon, and then I have both Wednesday and Thursday off. I rushed through GTA IV because I was deploying to Iraq the week after it came out, so I would like to be able to take my time with this one. Savor it. I could see myself not finishing the story for several weeks. I beat GTA IV in like 5 days, it was brutal.
 
I look forward to finding out why CJ isn't on grove street as well as why the neighborhood is overrun with Ballas. This isn't a spoiler because we don't know the answer to the question. I hope gang wars do not return.

First thing I'm doing is finding a way to game the system legally. Maybe rob 1000 hookers and use that money to invest in the stock market. I'll build up my arsenal this time without a cheat code. You better believe I'm completing all misdions in stealth and using youtube to obtain the best ending if there is a best ending. Please don't spoil me on any best ending because I want to experience it.

It's probably true too haha.

I hope picking up the game tuesday morning isn't as painful as it was with 4. I purposely skipped the midnight launch thinking I could get it right away the next morning but when I got there there were already 30-40 people waiting for the store to open, and they weren't prepared for it so it ended up taking over an hour to get my game.

Guess I am just lucky I live in a country where most people take it easy and do not stand in lines for a video game. There's this midnight launch at our Media Markt (Holland, Amsterdam Arena) but I do not believe it will be all that crowded. No way I am going, though.
 
I don't have this game pre-ordered. Where should I do it? Any places offering special shit?

I'll be getting off work at noon on Tuesday, so I don't really feel like running from store to store to see which ones are sold out. Hell, Walmart sold out of The Last of Us on release day, I had to go to Best Buy, I don't want to not have GTA 5.

In that case, youd be better off running to a place like Target in the morning to grab a copy. I seriously doubt there'd be any sort of dreadful line there. Plus, dont they open before 10am?

ugh I know...its killing me and I know its all in my mind. If I could just tell my brain to shut up for one week I would be fine. I've done plenty of weeks without any issues. Hell I remember six weeks out like omg...six weeks to go...but here we are...the final week and I have my birthday next Monday, Breaking Bad on Sunday...so much to look forward to and yet it feels so far away. I know this time next week will be horrible...hopefully the work day will be over quick. Some co workers are taking me out for a couple of beers then meeting up with the g/f for birthday dinner somewhere...I can't even decide where to eat...I don't want to eat...I want GTA V...she is even getting me an ice cream cake which I love...but screw you cake...you are not GTA V and I'm trying to soldier through Saints Row 4...but its killing me...the city sucks...AND YOU ARE NOT GTA FIVE!!!!

Are there any stations like The Vibe(r&b) and JNR(jazz), those were my stations in IV, I still love riding around in North Algonquin and Bohan listening to them.

I've been playing free roam in IV like crazy for the last week, and had a really good session on Sat night. But I think I finally did it, no matter how much more I play IV it won't help the wait for V:(

Haha this made me laugh but I get what you mean in a way. Sometimes I just like to really pretend I'm living in the world. Following traffic laws and whatnot. It also makes it way more fun when you just say 'fuck it' and switch lanes to the sidewalk and run over 50 pedestrians
