Well, seeing as I upgraded to a GTX 970 last Thursday from SLI'd 1GB 460s I guess if I'm going to get another version of GTA V it'll eventually be the PC version.
I think there is no difference. The only thing that steam does is starting the Social Club ^^.

I've heard the Social Club downloader is pretty horrible, slow download speeds and files being corrupted. Don't know if they fixed it.

When you're in FPS and using a gun, while aiming roll your middle mouse button.

I know, it enables ironsights. Though I use a controller so it's the right analogue stick for me.

Huh, I just uploaded my Shadowplay recording since I don't have any video editing utilities on this rig right now. It's 1080p60 and 13mb big, works fine in my Firefox? But yeah, probably too huge for mobile if that's what you're talking about. Anyway, the character climbs normally until the end of the ladder but then slides down while still in the climbing animation for whatever reason. Must've been introduced with one of the last patches since I didn't have it on launch.

Well the Rockstar version you need about 100GB's of free memory and it takes ages to download the game, and the updates. I'm wishing I went with the Steam version.

Personally I'd go with either OBS or use Shadowplay if you have a Nvidia card. Shadowplay has no performance impact streaming or recording compared to other recording software.

Now we can turn off vehicle engines with a controller, exactly how it was done in IV.
Only issue is that the headlights will blink briefly when you exit, but it's a minor thing that hopefully gets fixed soon. Also did bikes in IV have the radio stay on when you left the engine on? Cars here still have the radio playing, but bikes don't.
Also that persistence mod that lets you save a certain number of vehicles around the map is awesome.

awesome awesome, have been browsing the mod section of gtaforums excitedly after R*'s modding greenlight. there are too many branches of the trainer at the moment and too many WIP's with missing features at the moment for me to want to jump in, but i am really looking forward to modders working all the kinks out of their mods because there are at least 3 i've got my eye on.
in the mean time i'll try and complete the story.
i completely forgot about shadowplay. I downloaded open broadcast and it did what I wanted (30fps, acceptable compression) but i'll look into shadow play to see if 60fps and low compression is worth the storage space, thanks!

Yeah, the amount of people releasing separate versions of that one trainer but with minor variations is pretty obnoxious, but I'm loving the amount of mods out already that fix up a bunch of shit that Rockstar never did. Like this one, which adds heist vehicles to SP. The latest version even has a few of them spawn randomly in traffic in certain parts of the map.
Someone also released a mod that gets rid of police choppers, though I'm personally hoping for one that just reduces the respawn rate significantly.

Sorry, was referring to the ability to choose whether to turn your car engine off, or leave it on when exiting. IV let you choose, V made it so that you turn it off no matter what. Strange that Rockstar did that, then never patched it. Even though they patched in stuff like aiming before shooting from a vehicle, as well as the ability to duck while driving.

On the survey mission for the big score, I went to switch over to Michael and the game locked up on me. Twice now this game has done something like that to me.
The game used to lock up on my fairly regularly when I set the game to boot straight into singleplayer. Setting that back to Landing Screen solved that completely for me. MIght be worth trying if you havent?

I just finished the game. I was literally 2 missions from the end when I lost my save about a week ago. Credits look great though.

Wow disabling the Nv Streamer Service helped my CPU more than I thought it would. Just hopped onto Online for a few minutes to test it out and no more drops to high 40's when crusing on the highway at fast speeds.

The service that Shadowplay uses. It's been reported to give around a 5FPS increase in most cases.

Considering upgrading from my Zotac GTX 770 2GB to a Gigabyte GTX 980 G1 at some point in the near future, mainly because of this game. What are the chances that the 980 goes down in price when the next card comes along? And is there some kind of GPU trade in program I could use to lower the price somewhat, or would I have to just use Ebay or something?

When you start to hear the beeps pull up and to one side as hard as you can.
Also, on that heist before the guy in the buzzard is shooting jets down, you can just follow the jet to be safe.
I'm fairly sure it has nothing to do with ShadowPlay, I disabled that service and ShadowPlay still functions fine.
It's for streaming to the Shield devices.

The online loading is killing me lol. Yesterday Iloaded the game, loaded for online, loaded to enter garage then I wanted to join friend in his game. Loaded that oh wait.. Game is full. Loaded back into my game, loaded to enter garage. Then I joined another friends game and the entire process restarted. Wtffffff.
I just want to play with my friends without too much hassle. Oh and one of my friend installed the game on his new SSD and I'm actually getting faster loading than him despite having installed it on my regular hdd.
