GTA VI on Switch 2 Rumor Thread

so a PS4 game running better on Switch 2 ( a console a little more powerful than a PS4pro ) somehow is an indicative of GTA 6 ( PS5/XSX and next gen ) running on it too ? SW2 cant even handle Borderlands 4 at the moment, but hopefully R* ll pull some miracle port like CDPR did with The Witcher on SW1.
Cant wait to read your next goal post move... :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Yet Resident Evil Requiem runs great, looks great and those who played it on Switch 2 can barely tell the difference between it and the PS5 version (the hair is a dead giveaway tho).

lets not compare a corridor tps story driven game with a full open world with lots of npc, cars, planes, boats, dynamic weather, day and night cycle, physics, fast paced action, traffic simulation and top notch tech, at least LordOcidax LordOcidax examples made sense.

if it comes out of Switch 2, then there's enough of a performance overhead on Series X and PS5 to have a 60fps mode btw... which would be very welcome.
unless the Xbox SX2 releases next year... at which point I don't really care how the current gen versions run of course.

I don't believe it, but saying it's impossible is ignoring of what we're already seeing; in modern games making use of modern features, the switch 2 performs on par with a series S.
Star Wars Outlaw, Assassin's Creed Shadows, Resident evil 9, FF7 ... And the console is just in its first year. Once developers learn to use it better, we're gonna have some big surprises.

With that being said, I do not believe that gta6 is coming, but the switch 2 would very much be capable to run it

To be fair, this one is probably true.
Yakuza 0, Kiwami 1, Kiwami 2 and Yakuza 3 Dark Ties are all confirmed for Switch 2, so to say there'll be a collection seems about right.
Yakuza 0 sold for 50$, Kiwami 1 re-release for 30, Kiwami 2 for 30 too and Kiwami 3 for 60 I suppose, the only collection is the money Sega is collecting from your pocket

Switch 1 can already run RDR at 60fps with overclocking, DLSS is most certainly for reaching 4K60

DLSS is used mostly because it's the best anti aliasing around and it's brain dead to implement. An overclocked switch 1 runs rdr at 1080p/60fps. A switch 2 would get 4k/60fps without dlss, but using dlss is just much simpler for a better result. Look at street fighter. Lower input resolution than series S, and sharper image thanks to dlss.

Actually… Is totally possible.
I would suggest this could be a reason for the delay. We do know Nintendo have been a little on the slow side to get Switch 2 dev kits out these. And I would also suggest that the previous Grand Theft auto game is coming at some point.

Definitely seems possible to me, if only because they seem to be ramping up support on Nintendo platforms in general. We went from pretty much nothing to suddenly getting a RDR port and GTA Trilogy ports on Switch. And now an RDR port for Switch 2 as well.

Supposedly the GTA Trilogy also performed great in terms of sales on the Switch.
