Guild Wars 2 Launch Date announced: August 28th, 2012

So has the Xpadder guide been lost? Sorry for spamming, but this thread is moving quickly.

I'm pretty sure this is it:

Oh shit, looks like I'm being called out.

For the most part, my setup is a lot like yours, but I messed with the placement of the healing, utility, and elite skills, as well as the menu buttons. Anyway, here's my setup:

Left Stick: Move
Right Stick: Camera/Cursor
Left Stick click: Left Mouse click
Right stick click: Toggle camera cursor

X: Jump
Square, Triangle, Circle: Skills 1-3
L1: Skill 4
L2: Skill 5
R1+L1: Heal
R1+L2: Elite Skill
R1+Square, Triangle, Circle: Utilities 1-3
R2: Dodge
R1+X: Interact

D-pad Up+X, Square, Triangle, Circle: F1, F2, F3, F4
D-pad Down: Weapon Switch
R1+D-pad Down: Put away equipped weapon
D-pad Right: Tab target
D-pad Left: Previous Target (Shift+Tab)
D-pad Up+Up/Down on Right Stick: Zoom (mouse wheel)

Start: Hero panel (Stat/Equipment page)
Select: Inventory
R1+Start: Esc Menu
R1+Select: Map

Also, for some reason I had R1+D-pad Up bound to auto-run, but this doesn't really make any sense. I didn't really get much of a chance to test out this layout, so when I do a few things are bound to change. Also, there are probably still a few important functions that I haven't bound yet. I'm thinking R1+Left Stick click makes a whole lot more sense for auto-run though.

Anyway, here's the file:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/gnhtg8

It's made using a PS3 controller, emulating an Xbox 360 controller, so if you are using a 360 controller it should work with no extra setup.

Edit: I should mention, my setup expects that you have Dodge bound to the V key, and Put Away Weapon bound to the L key. Those should be the only key bindings that need to be adjusted in game.

Euro is on Gandara, but if you want to be with the majority go Madness. I'm Euro and have to see how latency is.

I'm doing the same thing this beta, never played with any of GAF2 on Grandara last time. Not too sure I'll be on an American server on the final release though given as I want to play with friends in the UK.

I'm so used to WoW and Swtor ui design that I'm actually getting lost with this interface. Anybody in the human starting zone want to team up? I'm not in the guild yet though, Aquila.7329

My framerate has more than doubled. I am surprised. Even in the Charr starting area with events going on, it's actually playable for me now, whereas during the last BW it was a slideshow.

Here's Thanasis' thing with a link to his profile...

I'm trying to find my original post which explains the AutoHotKey trick.
edit: Crap, was that not in this thread...

Getting a couple disconnects, especially with other people around. Anyone else or is it just my sometimes-shaky internet?

So this is the second beta event I'll be missing due to outside circumstances. The first, I was out of town. This time, despite having grabbed an invite in one of the giveaways, my computer is bluescreening when I try to download the game. It's not just GW2 that's giving me issues, but whatever the launcher does in the background is making me crash, whereas WoW is (mostly) stable in game. This is depressing, as I'm excited about GW2 but I haven't gotten to try it yet, and now probably won't before it comes out, and now I'm not even sure that my computer would even run it safely. I guess I'll be following the game from outside for a while, hoping it stays active.

First time trying this, really wanted to like it but I just can't have that graphical style - Looks way too Final Fantasy esque inspired. Shame :(

I pre-purchased last night so I could download it before today. It stopped with 2gb left and of course it didn't save that progress. :|

It did. It starts over again at 0%, but it still retained all of your progress. It is just 0% of the last 2 GB, instead of the entire file.

DragonFly.6208 since everyone is posting them (lol this was when everyone was doing it lol for got to post it) ,character name: DragonFly

That's disappointing to hear. Though I didn't think they'd have the performance issues fixed. I have serious doubts it'll be fixed by release.

Runs pretty smoothly for me, cept for some drops when I scroll past enormous groups of NPCs or player characters, but I'm sure that'll be fixed by release as well.

I should mention I have almost an identical PC to Vano, just a slower CPU.

40fps for that type of rig to me doesn't sound good.

Agree, but its playable, will wait for release to see if it improves.

Now there is a option called Free Camera that is new i think, now the camera will stay where you put it and won't come back to the default spot. Pretty Cool

Doubtful, sounds like there's bigger issues at hand if it hasn't been fixed since the last two BWE. Also I can't recall a single time whenever someone says "release it'll be improved" and it actually happened. Especially with a month to go.

If I were to pre-purchase right now, would I still be able to get in to this last beta weekend?

I do not think so. However, I could be wrong.

Just saying but this build is not the current launch build and nowhere near it btw. This is a build from a long while back.

Thank goodness for that. I couldn't quite tell as I'm still waking up since it still said all 24gb needed to be downloaded, but it's definitely going faster. Cheers.
