Gundam Build Fighters Try Episode 3:

So I am guessing the shipping is being done on fast forward here because somehow we got a seasonal worth of it in one episode, this scares me. Anyway, this episode was mainly a showcase for the new Team Try and Yuuma is correct, they have a long way to go in order to be consider a team, and not just three individuals who happen to be working together. Also, the dysfunctional banter is already getting old. As far as Gyanko goes, well, she is a lot blander then I was expecting her to be, she was a touch arrogant and bit of rival but has degenerated into a Monkey D. Luffy situation and that is awful and I want to take a blowtorch to it. It was an alright episode, kind of that was there, that was okay. Also, this show has a real G Gundam fetish this season and we better be getting Master Asia out of it.

Not a fan of the latest episode. Pretty much took the worst parts of Build Fighters and rammed it into one. Fistfights, pulling moves out of nowhere, excessive amounts of move shouting, dumb romance, injecting tension into the game as if it is real and people shouting at each other as a replacement for real comedy.

Indeed, I am starting to worry that Try is really losing focus over what made Season 1 so good, or if it is just them being trapped by the high school setting.

Sounds like all good to me.....

I mean the premise is pretty much YuGiOh with Gunpla. And we got Domon incarnate so I'm sated.

what is wrong with you people! the show is about Gunpla beating the shit out of one another. Who cares about any of the other stuff!

Yeah I'm kinda feeling the same.

It's early days but i was hoping that basing it around team fights would negate the need for a character like Sekai. I get that they are riffing G-Gundam but i think that would've been more fitting for a solo show instead of overriding the strategy element of 3 vs 3 with Build Burning. We got some glimpses of them working smartly from Yuuma and Fumina but then we're straight into This hand of mine is BURNING RED! Its loud roar tells me to grasp victory! ERUPTING BURNING FINGER!

The show is a lot more high school as well making it a lot less subtle with how they are developing the characters and the relationships between them.

Still enjoying it though. Next episode preview was hype must know what that SD Gundam is so i can buy the kit asap.

Guys it took like six episodes for season 1 to break out of the school trappings.

But I do admit it was a pretty weak episode on general. Kousaka being a gigantic nerd again, Fumina not really doing munch on her own again, Sekai solving things by punching again. Pretty flat as far as character development goes.

Episode 3

The love-love pairings this season are REALLY cheesy, but I think there's a charm to them. It's over the top, really silly, but it's still a show where kids behave like kids, and that makes it a lot more bearable than shows which try to be too serious. Not a big fan of the character animation this week, a lot of plain stuff, but there were some good moments like when they figured out Eri's new look. The fight was pretty good though, even though it's annoying to see that they're abusing the "Sekai is a moron and getting in the way" gag already. Gyanko rocks. Soooo much better than her brother. <3

Can't wait to see the first SD battle next week. I loved the SD stuff in the original series, so I have pretty high hopes here. :)

Yeah i don't mind the treating it as real thing thats what makes these types of shows so fun. I know for sure that if it was real I'd be piloting Chars suits and quoting him in battles all day long
like i do in Extreme Vs

I bet that teacher arranged a match so Ral doesn't break the kids. I agree with others on a few things. I was hoping Sekai would actually learn a lesson and have the other two handle the fight on their own.

I found Gyanko pretty charming. I wonder what her bro is doing now. And what's up with that shield blocking shining finger, just how much did Gyan-boy improve?!

To be fair, he was never a scrub builder either. He had pretty creative takes on the Gyan. His problem was that as an overall fighter, he was a real jobber compared to Reiji. But then again, who isn't? Lol.

That'll probably come later when Team Humblepie comes.

Yeah, that's true. He did build one of the most amazing suits by the end of the first season, too.

That'll probably come later when Team Humblepie comes.

This could work even better better. Have him win a few times despite messing the team strategy and then have him fail with his boasted confidence.

I'm just waiting for the eventual rematch with that dude who dominated Yuuma. I bet his team is going to be insane.

Surprised with the bad comment, I don't seeing anything that felt taking thing seriously and thing just ridiculously campy in great way, awesome..

And there's some obvious set-up for Sekai's
eventual wake up call, talent jealousy..
can't wait to see those thing played out.

Another great episode. The animation was nice (really nice near the climax of the battle), too. Loving the characters, so far too. So much personality.

I AM SO GLAD THIS SHOW IS BACK!

Episode 3

Before this show started, I hoped that with team based fighting we got less Build Knuckle/Shining Finger type fights and more battles that required a bit of strategy, finesse, and just good piloting.
But three episodes in an I don't even mind if it continues like this because it manages to still be so entertaining. Another great episode.

Something is definitely up with Mirai.

Seems like you get a good Mix though now. Sekai bodying folks and the other two using more proper strats

Lacks the energy of the first season but that might be because the novelty is wearing off.

Still one of the strongest show this season.

That preview actually makes me hype for SD Winning.

Episode 3

This series feels like it's made by really talented fans of the first show, but it's not as slick or exciting or well produced in any aspect.

It would have been pretty nice to see them have a little bit of restrain on all the super move bullshit as well.

It's a solid little show.

I think characters so far just have not been as good as first season .
Be it main or sub characters , it's only been 3 eps so far so we have long way to go.
Still it going to be hard for them to get another groups of characters as good .

Hahaha, what a great episode. Carefree, funny, thrilling, and a bangin' soundtrack.

Absolutely loved it. I can't wait until they hit the tournament and we see all the contestants.

Haly, come now, there's no need for that kind of soft-thinking. Do you really imagine that this show is of equal quality to it's predecessor but you've simply grown bored of the format?

I'm taking a cup half full approach here!

I wonder what the 'serious' plot will be this time, in the first season you had stuff like Nils trying to solve plavsky particles, gundam mafia and gundam police, brainwashing/embody, aliens etc.

despite the slice of life setting, gbf season 1 truly felt like an epic gundam series to me. if gbf 2 is just a straight forward tournament without all those larger than life subplot, I'd be a little disappointed I think.

That's fine, that's fine! I'm just saying, if you take a walk backwards in time and watch Gundam Build Fighters episode 3 you'll discover the difference is like night and day. You will find that the energy and excitement is still there for material you've already seen.
