That was pretty good, I guess. It was nice to see that the show could have some character animation, even if it was only for a couple of scenes.
I'm glad to see lots of crazy super-robot stuff in here because really, there's no point in going half-way on that stuff.
My only real complaint with that final sequence is the director doesn't seem to understand how the iconography depicting is generally portrayed. Compare and contrast with how say, Imagawa, handles such super-attack imagery and you can see that he really understands the whole concept far better. It's hard to describe exactly what's off, but it just doesn't look as cool as it should. I think it's a mix of pacing, angles lighting that just throws it off.
