That new OP is mega-hype

So it looks like the new Junya character is the one who actually bopped Yuuma so hard that he quit gunpla battle, and he uses Jigen Haoh as well. Also, by the way it's setting up, I think the series will just conclude the national tournament

Gundam Build Fighters Episode 14:

Okay, first of I literally burst out laughing when this series introduced a character called Lucas Nemesis and apparently that is his real name. Anyway, this was a pretty utilitarian transitional episode, it is not bad, but it isn't going to win any awards either. The main jobs here are finishing up the establishment of the supporting cast for the Nationals, the building of rivalries, and the application of the lessons learned from training camp. I will say I think the first series did a much better job establishing the supporting cast and indeed rivalries but the team format necessitates some of this expedition, not all of it considering it would have been nice to see some of these characters interspersed through the first half of the series. That being said I do think that overall Try actually handed its tournament transition better then season one, if only because it seems like our protagonists have so much more to learn and then actually feel like underdogs. That was always a problem I had with Sei and Reiji, despite all of the efforts to portray them as underdogs they were very clearly a combined Brock Lesnar of Gunpla.

New OP is good!
No Domon sighting makes me sad still :(

Dancing Beargguys was the only good thing about this episode.

Edit: Some screen caps from the new OP showing off the Gundams.

Great ep! Watching them all interact and help each other, while showing off some of the competition was awesome.

Dat intro! So many quick views at other mobile suits!

This episode was pretty neat, if only for the new gunpla and to see a few returning faces.

Also, regarding Minato Sakai:
Did he build them a GaoGaiGar Gundam?!

I feel the group finally came along now, really enjoying the dynamic with Yuuma held bigger authority with even handling Build Burning upgrade too.

Also like the boxer dude gonna joining the cheerleader party too lol.

What was that about another Shingyo master entering? Kinda sucks but really don't give a shit about the rivals aside from the Gunpla Academy. Too bad the show will likely end with the Nationals, we won't get to see Fellini and all

I wouldn't really say that, for Fumina at least it's been implied Gunpla academy is simply a stepping stone, so it seems kind of false to say they don't give a shit about the other rivals, since Gunpla academy probably isn't even the strongest team they'll face.

Those triplets are so creepy with their dumb hair and their hand holding.

I assume they pilot the three SD gundams that combine into Rayquaza

Episode 14

New OP is awesome and I didn't think we would get any more Crossbone suits or something like the ZZZ, so I'm happy for that.

I thought Lucas choosing the Jegan was just an Aila callback but it makes sense if he was the kid she yelled at.

China being in the OP means she'll hopefully pop back up soon and Sei won't be too far behind.

I wonder if we will see Gyanko with a new suit. The R-Gyagya deserved more screen time.

One of the cheapest episodes of the entire series for sure.

Saving their load for the episodes that matter clearly.

That is a god awful design.

What is this super robot crap get out of here.

GBF Try is a real robot show for real robot fans featuring real robots fighting in a realistic way.

I like the MURICA color scheme.

USA USA USA
::applauds::

I hope Gyanko's newest gunpla is made entirely of shields.

Pretty good episode, all things considered.

ZZZ Gundam, it's been in the TRY Age Gundam card game in Japan and some other stuff as well.

I never would have seen them choosing such an obscure Gundam.

Ah, just realized... Lucas is this kid from season 1.

Looks like he took Aila's words to heart and even using her Jegan, heh.

Oh, nice catch. The old Kid's name was Lucas and the team his father owned was called Team Nemesis.

Those triplets are so creepy with their dumb hair and their hand holding.

Heh, Rayquaza And yeah, they're really creepy.

This was an exceedingly cheap episode, even by Sunrise standards what with the re-used footage and excessive use of stills. I think it's fair to say there was about 5 minutes worth of content in this episode, tops.

They're saving the budget for next episode!

Sei, now a lieutenant in the Gunpla Police, has come to arrest Sekai for stealing his Build Burning from the trophy.

There's no way a builder's hands would be so slender and blemish-free.

That shit should be coated in layers of primer, paint and micro cuts from exacto knife accidents.

Good ol' transitional episodes. Still fun though despite just setting up for the national tourney. Lucas being back from Season 1 is great but dang, that kid really got buff since Aila yelled at his ass. Gyanko bouncing up and down behind the hedge wall was ridiculously cute.

I wonder if The Osaka team's Trion 3 is an MG sized one since it looks like they only used one in their qualifier. Maybe they used the Mobile Armor rule and are piloting ZZ's various parts as their units and then super robot it up for a big one, lol.

I think they're using the rule where an oversized MA has to be piloted by 3 people in tandem.

So basically Sentai.

Nice little prep episode before the fighting gets started. Was nice to get a sneak peek at some of the other actors who will be showing up in the next arc. Was funny to see that Lucas from the first season is returning after that pep talk he got from Aila.

Also glad to see more SD Gundams even if they are piloted by those weird triplet boys.

Welp, this Episode sure made me wanna continue building my Gunpla, but I'm starting to collect a Backlog. I still have to Finish Building my first Kitbash...RX-78 3.0 is still lacking an Arm and Weapons for Completion...Meanwhile I have Sengoku Astray waiting in to be built...Where do I even begin.

Outside of that, New episode hype. The OP really teases so much awesome, especially with the tease of Iori. Though the lack of "Domon" is disappointing.
