Nope! Try wins in many ways.

By my count there were 17 HG releases for the original series. Zero of those were completely new designs. GBFT has so far released 14 kits (three actually are SD). But there are another 5 announced that haven't been released yet. For a total of 19 kits, or 19.5 if you want to count the Pucchi guy release.

GBFT we have and will have received some completely new design/tool kits. Built Burning, Denial, Transient, The End, Portent, Trion. Mock was shown last season but not released until this season so could go either way on that front.

There's a bit of a grey area for some. Crossbone Maoh was new tool as there had been no HG crossbone released yet when that kit came out. Same for the Gyagya and it's future R-Jarja release. Gouf R35 was also a new tool. Amazing Red Warrior is also new tool but looks to be the base for the future HG RX-78-2 renewal kit.

Also three kits of the original series releases were just redesigns or previous releases: Build Strike-Star Build Strike, Exia Dark Matter-Amazing Exia, Fenice-Rinascita. Try has only had two updates, Build Burning-Try Burning, Winning-Star Winning. Yuuma only got that backpack.

Weird. Maybe they're just not as High Profile in Try, then? Cuz like, you go episode after episode of fighting what feels like mooks. I mean, Lucas didn't even have a custom mech. Nobody on Sleggar Law's team did, aside from the Mega Shiki, either. Heck, one character this season is notable because he just straight up uses basic kits.

So I dunno. Just really feels like there are barely any this season when last season every major character had one.
 
I still like the show. And there's still unanswered questions of things I care about. Like shots of Reiji, Alia, Sei, Felini, Caroline, etc. So I'll just leave the thread until after the episode next week.

the one good thing about all this 00 exia showcasing their doing, is that gbf try is bad. Trying to shove all the bad gundams in this bad season
 
Looks like the Tryon kit will split into three parts. Or these are separate kits. Not really sure yet...

Yes it looks like it does transform from the three kits just like the show. The price reflects that... 3,024yen so it's a bit pricier than usual HG kits. Looks like it will be out in June if I am reading it right.

Yeah would have been nice if they gave it a two-tone white scheme.

Also not a fan of the light blue/red they have on the Denial.

Also is it just me or would the End look great without those giant hands on the side.
 
The End's hands are normally like that in neutral but with a cloak so it looks kind of goofy there without cloak.
 
I'm down for the Tryon, Denial, Burning and Gya-Gya, but I dunno that I'll care for any of the rest. The whole of Team Shitsia isn't getting my buy. The Full Cloth is a maybe, as is the Mega Shiki and that's about it.
 
I'm down for Full Cloth (which I still need to finish the MG for), Transient, Tryon, and Denial.

Still back and forth on whether or not I should get two Lev Ds or one Lev D and one Lev A for my Hi-Nu Vrabe.

Also doing a little side project in LBP3 using Build Fighter sprites for a kinda 2D SHMUP game. I'll post when I have some mechanics all set up. :)
 
Does the Tryon 3 come with the sword? Haven't seen any pics with it.

Full Cloth, R-Gyagya, and Lightening are most likely eventual purchases.

I also wasn't feeling the Mega Shiki all that much until I saw a custom version painted red, so that might be in the cards as well.

Yeah I've seen images of the kit with sword before the episode came out.

If you are only getting two I'd go for one of each. The shield/bird is the same between the two.. only difference is the weapons and the price! The Lev A was only 820yen whereas the Lev D was 1500yen (almost double the cost of the A). The weapon that came with the Lev D is similar (same length, width) as the one that comes with the new Lightning backpack fo if you ever want a similar weapon you could always rob one from that kit which is cheaper. The Lev A has a mini Gatling/short-barrel rifle combo weapon.

Oh, I see the Full Cloth and Combined Tryon 3 have been edited into the post above. No-one's going to flick through the same post again 22 hours later!
 
I'm still surprised they're making MGs of GBF and not move on to Try. IIRC MG Build Strike and Build Mk2 didn't come out till that show was over so MG Try Burning announcement when.

MG usually slow released. I too like 1 year from airing for MG Strike to be released and several years for non-strike SEED MG to be released
 
Too much reliance on super beams but the fights were still pretty cool. I don't mind the mix and mash that much since it was used more as a repair gimmick rather than actual gattai. Really glad they played Cerulean instead too. That final shot of the Burning was amazing.

I'm really hoping they slogged a crummy season so we'd get an amazing S3. It at least sounds like they're going back to 1v1 battles.
 
Gundam Build Fighters Try Episode 24:

Well, I guess the odds were favored that the final match would be a good one, not great but still better then the bullshit piled on these past few episodes. Also, yea, they are pretty much confirming that there is going to be a season 3.
 
Wow the tease for the World Tournament for next season. I guess that's when we will see everyone again for sure. I loved the episode I didn't even know there was one more episode next week need that closure.
