Bandai Entertainment Inc. is auctioning off the one-of-a-kind 1:1 scale life-sized model of the Gundam head from Mobile Suit Gundam F91: The Motion Picture. Originally crafted in Japan under the authority of Sunrise Inc. and the only one of its kind in existence in the world, it is now being made available by auction to a good home.

A portion of proceeds from the auction will be donated to the non-profit Bandai Foundation which supports numerous children’s charities.

The lighted head model can be used as a store or exhibit display, or even as a home centerpiece for the hardcore Gundam fan. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a piece of Gundam history.

The language implies that Formula 91 (which was not the best Gundam motion picture, but I think was reasonably good) was released here. Is that true, or am I reading that wrong? Days like these are when I miss Gundam Project.

That's the Gundam head from the Bandai Store in the Metreon, are they closing down the Bandai Store? When we went down to San Francisco last April, I had my fiance take a picture of me sitting next to the head.

Fuck a security system. Just have this thing poking out of a hole in the ground around your house and any attacker or robber will think that you have a FUCKEN GUNDAM. I'll carry around a watch and act like I can speak into it and call my Gundam to attack the guy.
