Who's better brehs, Drake or Big Sean? Let's be reality Big Sean has plenty of hits, has actually wrote his own shit, the entire scene, including Drake's songwriters bit his flow?

drake didn't make the aural abomination that is 10 2 10 tho so he's still better.

Turning this off until he delivers. Time for some Far Cry.

I've been listening to ghostwritten songs for a while for scientific research or whatever, and I ran into some tracks from P Diddy's Press Play album and lmao, he didn't try to hide anything. At all. It's like karaoke

What evidence did Flex provide? If I'm Drake then Hot 97 is getting sued ASAP between these stunts and Ebro/Rosenberg speaking on things they aren't 100 percent certain of. They're trying to end his career and this is not funny.

Flex Hogan has painted himself into a corner between this incident and the Hov situation he started. Who the fuck is Flex to stand for the cultuah?

None of this changes Drake's legacy until proof comes to light. A few bars Quentin spits on a reference track does not count. We don't know what Kendrick and TDE doing as far as assists go. Ditto for every young artist on a label affiliated with a crew.

He played nothing. Bizarre since he straight up said he had the reference tracks.

they coming for the king,

they best not miss

Fetty has like twenty catchy songs, Drake Stans be thinking he the only one with hits.

one sounds like a Siren, one doesn't.

Fetty has some catchy stuff but he's basically using the exact same melody on 90% of his shit. And he can't perform live for shit. If he had a decent team around him they'd sit him down and say yo, you can be around for awhile if you do your homework and work hard. If not you're just going to be that guy who has a few songs on the radio/soundcloud.

He needs a vocal coach or something...anything to help his live shows.

Nah he played Trap Queen, then 679 and then the My Way remix with Drake.

True. Saw him on...I think it was Fallon and it was just okay.

He has some crazy good hooks though. The one on 679 is fire.

Bobby Shmurda Facing Seven Additional Years In Prison After Girlfriend Allegedly Gave Him a Knife
As Bobby Shmurda continues to wait for his upcoming trial in the fall, he is now facing the possibility of up to seven more years in prison after his girlfriend allegedly tried to sneak him a knife during a visit. Shmurda appeared in court yesterday to plead not guilty to felony and misdemeanor charges of promoting prison contraband, perjury, and criminal possession of a weapon, according to The Guardian. Previously, Shmurda turned down a plea deal for his prior gun and drug charges that could fetch him up to 25 years in prison.

Prison guard allegedly caught Shmurda's girlfriend, Kimberly Rousseau, pulling a sharp metal object out of her bra and attempting to slide it to him during a visit at Rikers Island. She has since pleaded not guilty to promoting prison contraband. Shmurda's trial date is currently set for October.

Haha, I was posting about exactly this a few pages ago:
I just remembered how I only found out years later that Diddy's Press Play was largely ghostwritten by Pharoahe Monch, after having already thought so subconsiously when it came out.
Especially on this track it's so painfully obvious:

Are there any other examples of big rappers sounding like their ghostwriter on track?

Good for Future. Seems like more often than not trap albums from "big" artists don't go anywhere, sales wise. Young Thug was allegedly That Dude yet couldn't sell 20k in a week; Lil Durk outsold his ass. If Quan put out a project it probably wouldn't sell well either. Yet both have put out countless mixtapes that have been well received by fans.

There's a tier of rappers who went from mixtapes to albums with success (Drake, Cole, Kendrick, Big Sean, Meek, etc) and there's guys like Big K.R.I.T. who haven't been able to pull it off. And there are even more trap rappers who fail at that. I wonder what was different this time. Was it simply the free music beforehand that compelled folks to support him? Was it as culmination of years of building and supporting a fanbase? Is it simply that he's the hottest dude in rap right now and has transcended the typically urban trap scene to reach enough of the mainstream to do numbers?
