i didnt think it looked bad from the screens, but yeah, it definitely looks awesome in motion

Nice. That new footage looks sharp for an old 733 Pentium 3 with 64 megs of RAM and a GeForce 3.5 (XBOX1). Sadly, that footage actually looks to run better than the game ran on my Athlon ~2Ghz with 1.5 gig of RAM and a Radeon 9200. :\ Hopefully, the loading isn't any worse than it is on the PC.

Yeah, after checking out the Xbox version, I kind of want to play through it now on a console. It will probably feel different in some ways. I liked playing HL1 on the PS2, as janky as it was.

I'll be damned, that video was very impressive. It looks shockingly close to the PC version and even seemed to sport a few enhancements (subtle bloom lighting effects from bright lights). The framerate needs some work (the physics seem to have quite an impact on it), but it's look great.

If they could achieve a mostly solid 30 fps (ala Doom 3 on XBOX), this could be totally worth playing even for those who have played it on the PC.

Every PC port is so welcome specially if it's a FPS, besides that they do well on the xbox.
