I'm not even a huge Halo fan, and I know this is untrue, lol.

I went with a few friends to a midnight release at a Gamestop in a mall, there were SO many people. Honestly, it was the biggest midnight release I had ever been a part of, and I had been to many.

First I've heard that, honestly. I knew people that had their personal favorites or whatever, but personally never knew anyone that "shit" on it. I just remember people playing coop and multiplayer for YEARS.

I don’t think there’s a game in history that had more hype that it actually lived up to and exceeded in some ways. Halo had taken the world by storm.

It’s also unfair to compare the 343i games to the Bungie ones. Different team, direction, time, etc.

The original Bungie games were legendary. Every game was a masterpiece.

People didn’t like the cliffhanger ending, but all the campaigns were amazing, not sure what you’re smoking. From Combat Evolved to ODST, every single one was a great experience.
