Halo 2 - how does it determine CTF Winner in a "tie" game?

We just got through a hell of a match against some Bungie.net employees.

The game was a tie, but our team was in 1st place, theirs in 2nd.

Does it determine the winner by the number of flag steals? We certainly beat them on that count. They beat us on everything else.

if they had "bungie.net" in their name during the lobby, it doesn't mean they work for bungie.

and if both teams score twice whoever scores last (red team) wins. this can also happen if the both teams go scoreless their first rounds but each team scores in their final round.

From what I have noticed, whoever scores the last capture in a tie game gets the win...

At least thats the way the group I play with has noticed it.

So what does the bungie.net text mean then? I've encountered a few of them, but they weren't particularly good :)

Well that sucks. IMO it should be whoever was the first team to score X amount of points that should win. So if the final score was 5-5, the first team that scored 5 points wins. Or they should take it into sudden death.
